I had a wonderful time the day I went to Bangor

Living down here does have some advantages. At least you can see them cry.

Santorini is very nice. Went there last year. Beautiful place, quite unlike anywhere I had been before, great weather, great restaurants, wonderful beaches and lots of non-beach things to do.

Other than that Rhodes is a lovely island, again, great weather and the old city is superb

Greek islands tend to be highly seasonal and the season doesn't normally open until May so apart from the likelihood of rain in April there may not be many (if any) flights

This may be a silly question, but did you ask her what she likes to do? My daughter would immediately say go to a Dude Ranch in the US I would imagine. My sons would probably opt for Orlando. Swimming with Manatees is a wonderful thing by the way.

No, good point, will ask her

No, but I could show you the way to Amarillo.

Went to Rhodes on 4 October for 1 week. Not too hot during the day, but got chilly in the evening. I imagine April will have similar weather. Rhodes old town is v nice, but like most Greek islands, the bits between the nicer parts tend to be drab and dry.

I hear Gangnam is good, it's got style. It is also South of the river, so you should feel at home.

this time of year, for a week try Cape Verde.

6 hrs flight due south for solely a beach holiday.

There is loads to see on other islands but too far apart and internal flights are expensive.

Cape Verde (Sal) is pretty decent. Plenty of trips out, meet the fantastic locals, weather is always good.

I refuse to believe there are that many people out there that can't spell. Too f**king lazy, that's what I think.
