Depends what you want out of it,if you go to Sandhurst it's for officer training.
If you want good mates and adventure join the grunts.

After a career, want to get a degree it's something I regret f***ing up lol. I meet the criteria (on paper anyway) to apply for the Intelligence Officers post, something which definetley seems interesting. Just heard Sandhurst is quite brutal haha.

It depends on what you want out of it. If you want a career with plenty of opportunity for advancement, travel and adventure, and a great bit to add to your life’s CV, Army Officer is pretty hard to beat.
To become one though is hard, no doubting it. You need to be fitter, as strong as, and generally better all round than your soldiers. You really need to stand out, and if you don’t you will be found out.
pm me if you want to know more. I was an Instructor there for 2 years, back in the days of black powder but the place hasn’t changed.

One of my son's has been in the royal Anglian regiment for the past seven years,he is now a corporal and loves the life.
He has seen action, but luckily there are no real flash points at the moment.
He has been loads of places, some good some in his words "s***hole" but he has made mates that he will have for life.
He's frontline so they are always away training somewhere.
He is based at Woolwich at the moment so very handy for the palace( and because he is in the services gets a reduced rate season ticket...bonus.

the large village of Bagshot is a couple of miles from Sandhurst. Bagshot, so named, because that's where they stored the bags of shot for Sandhurst, back in the days of gunpowder.

Edward (the prince who dropped out of the marine training course) and Sophie live in Bagshot. Tad of irony there.

Best of luck to the OP, go for it
