Very sad news.

He was also in The Yob, one of the best Comic Strip Presents.

His album is fantastic. Well worth a listen.

I have prepared one of my own time capsules. I have placed some rather large samples of dynamite, gunpowder and nitroglycerin. My time capsule is set to go off in the year 3000. It will show them what we are really like.

This was mentioned on the radio today, until then I hadn't made the connection but it makes perfect sense. He was an Edwardian dandy. For the youngsters he was massive in his day and women went bonkers for him (ironically).

His career was destroyed when he was outed due to a criminal conviction for lewd behaviour in a public toilet. From everything I have heard sounds like he was an good guy but we were a lot less tolerant in those days.
