Have you seen the documentary ' Unacknowledged'? If not worth a look. Plenty of everyday service men and women are now coming out saying they've experienced stuff...hell even the former Defence Minister of Canada has admitted that they're here ...still undecided myself...but there's definitely a 'swell' of previously hidden witnesses coming to the fore because they know they wont immediately be laughed out of town and lose their jobs over it.

I'll give it a butchers, as it does interest me

I cant believe you havent already...but again just in case...the program Ancient Aliens is well worth a look if you're interested in all of this, 12 series!!

Just look past some of the stereotypical geeks such as Gergious Tsokolus and his amazing hair and teeth and David Childress who always starts/ends his 'talking head' sequence with the words "could it be that.....blah blah blah" in dramatic fashion.

It's bloody hilarious.
If there is substance to some of that stuff, and some of it is interesting, but it is mixed in with some real old nonsense.
The stone blocks at Pumapunku for example. Curious, but one is very much seeing stuff through a one sided argument.

Ancient aliens I've seen and the "experts" that appear on it I believe are more interested in book sales and have been disproved on many occasions in other documentaries countering their arguments. As always when I see both sides of the story I always tend to lean towards the rational side or the ones that make sense to me.
Not to say I'm not open to it, but I need more than anecdotes and theories evidence is the key

Never mind that, try explaining the Dyatlov Pass incident.

On the night of 2 February 1959 nine ski-mountaineers camped on the slopes of Kholat Syakhl in the Urals. None if them returned. Their bodies were subsequently found in circumstances so bonkers that a tenth member of the group, who had turned back before reaching the mountain, died in 2013 none the wiser as to what had happened despite extensive research.

I watched a show on the "Discovery Channel" theorized the hikers were hunted and killed by a Sasquatch like creature. The photo below was allegedly recovered from one of the hikers cameras.

I'm not sure I believe it - but I do believe in the existence of Sasquatch as an unidentified mammal, people I would trust with my life have told me some bone-chilling stories about this great ape.

I don't just believe stories like this on face value but I don't just accept explanations for them either.
This is the problem with all this stuff. People have agendas. The ones's that want you to believe and the one's that don't.

Seems explainable to me....though obviously I'm making assumptions based on what I've read.

Still, Occam's razor suggests far more mundane possibilities, like one of them going insane or getting violently jealous and ripping the tent open to kill them all.

I get the impression that in 59 on a snowy mountain the highest levels of investigative research probably wasn't seen as that important in the USSR.

A knife is probably somewhere in the woods.
