If we are in for him (and as with all the players we are linked with that's a big if) I would think Roy is planning to play him just behind Benteke not as a replacement.
Some people think football is a matter of life and death. I don't like that attitude. I can assure them it is much more serious than that. |

Given that Loftus-Cheek looks like he will be out for much of the season, Eder might be able to play this kind of role, and if he could continue for another couple of years at Palace, this might be a good in vestment after all?

Yes, that's true. Hodgson gave specifics about what he was looking for and has already seemingly vetoed one muppet. FWIW Bakary Sako doesn't seem to be making too bad a fist of it though. At the end of the day if he's good enough to be around inter Milan first team and bench then he is good enough for us and we do lack a number 10 ever since chamakh departed
