But palace have always lacked the player we all thought Cabaye was, little tinker man who threaded balls through, so we had more to our game than just wing play. David Silva is the prime example of the type of player in on about. A busy bee. This is what Eder is. Not possibly goal scorer we all want, but the link up player with pace through the middle

Not messes Adilli the goal scorer we all want, but the link up player with ice through the middle I think you’re right about the kind of player - poor man’s David Silva or whatever but whether Eder could deliver this, or wants to, remains to be seen. Tricky one to work out. Ínter want money up front, Palace understandably prefer a loan fee. Perhaps there’s scope somewhere in the middle, like a £4m loan fee, plus another £4m at the end of the season if he did well and we want to keep him?

Been a few reports today that it is the player stopping this from happening as he would prefer to go to Zenit to join up with Mancini who has managed him in the past. Edited by Mwncisee (24 Jan 2018 7.59pm)

Edited by matthau (24 Jan 2018 5.09pm) Is correct. And why he is being pursued so aggressively. Right now dembele would be just another brilliant striker in the right position but without the supply.

Very bored of talk of Eder, time to move on and focus on players that are motivated to play for Palace. I know I’m not alone in hoping some news officially links us with Dembele, if we manage to pull that off & finalise Guaita then this would have been an amazing window, with young talent strengthening our future. However I’d like to see this thread disappear down the page.
