Presumably the Muslim nations' football authorities have a policy on how they fit football around prayer times, Ramadan, and so on. So why is "Mark" making them up in the middle of a match? If the rules say you stop, you stop. If they say you carry on, you carry on. But then he has plenty of experience when it comes to rewriting the Laws on the fly. Eventually Clattenprick will be punished by the lord. Whatever he does to try and make up for his huge ego. I for one suspect this is yet again about himself. Makes Howard Webb look humble this chap.

He's the best referee ever to blow a whistle at a football match. If you don't think so, just ask him. I saw him at the NBC thing at the old Fulton Fish Market a month or so ago. Tremendous ego and even bigger id. I found it hard to believe he could get along with anyone in English football since from my observations he seems to thing he invented it.
