We'd better hope that any manager thinking about taking him on loan doesn't read this thread to see what the self styled best supporters in the Premiership are saying about one of their own players.

One of our players is bending the truth a bit.

I'm loyal to the club, and I loved the likes of Johnny Ertl, Alan Lee, David Wright ... even Calvin Andrew was whole-hearted - nothing personal Jordan, 10k a week I could swallow, but 40k to keep someone with nothing to give to the squad is a case of I'll give you a lift to your new club's stadium - sorry for the insulting choice of words, but it's a fans' forum and Jordan if he is crying is crying all the way to the bank as Liberace so eloquently put it.

I think most managers know what he is like, that’s why there is no one showing any interest....

Would you be? I genuinely believe he would happily halve that income to play regularly in any premiership 1st XI. And do you think he gets off on the thought that every time he doea a search against his name all he finds is a stream of vicious invective from the fans of his own team?

The sooner he gets farmed out to mid table Championship the better for all concerned.

Would you give up £1.5m to play in the Premier, as that is halve what's left on his contract?
Or run around collecting the balls for the first team on the training ground and keep the whole £3m due?
Do you really think he reads forums, if he did I doubt if he cares, as he will have earned £8m on his contract, Pardew gave him.
I bet he cant believe his luck!

Do we know that he was a Pardew signing as we have a chairman who has been known to get heavily involved in signing players

I don’t quite get the constant abuse he gets on here. No one forced him onto us. Most clubs have players like this - I wish we gave a younger academy player a position in the squad instead but I ain’t in the hot seat.

When he did first play - think it was a FA cup match - he did nothing terrible but neither did he impact the game greatly. A bit like Puncheon...Unlike Chungy I’ve not heard him moaning about not getting a run in the side which had he got would have probably have shown his real worth either way.

He’s done nothing wrong or immoral has he?

It doesn’t make us bad supporters to think or discuss that he doesn’t cut it. Palace, have always supported their own, but Mutch has been a terrible signing there is no two ways about it. When he has appeared for us I haven’t seen him show too much talent or endeavour, hardly going to make the Palace fans warm to him.

I don’t think other clubs will be reading our opinions on him to make a decision somehow. You’d have to be very self important to believe that.

We will be very lucky to get a loan for him, no chance of selling him. Not Mutch’s fault we bought him but shouldn’t and will not stop us from having an opinion.

I'm not sure what self importance has to do with anything.

If we are linked to a player you often read here that our fans have looked in on his present club's fan forum to see what their fans make of him which is something that you have done yourself this very morning so not only would it happen in reverse but any sensible manager would also waste 15 minutes of his life to check that he hadn't missed something

Just looked at PNE forum. Sounds like it could be a goer and not just tabloid bulls***. Posters on there seem to have had some knowledge of a bid from a prem club in the offing yesterday.

We do. We are fans. They won’t. They will scout. If what you say is true then the internet was clearly down at Palace the week we bought Mutch, a quick look on the QPR forum and loads of post about how bad he was.

With Mutch it’s not just about scouting. He clearly has a level but that level is way below the £40k per week or whatever we pay him. Unless we pay some of the salary in a loan deal he’s going nowhere What we post about his ability is irrelevant.

How can we begrudge him his contract. He knows the next contract he signs will be on heavily reduced terms. He didnt point a gun at Parish head forcing him to offer the contract. I dont think any of us really knows if he has dramatically declined or not as we havent seen him! We can only go by that the club deem him to be not good enough. Always seems to score in the friendlies etc though.
