Sørloth yesterday scored twice in his first game for Gent. They won 6-1 (Holstein Kiel, 2 Bundesliga, pracise match) - one a strong header, the other he ice cold rounded the german keeper before rolling the ball into the net.

The difference between the PL and other leagues is that often you're lucky if you get one decent chance a game. When you watch these YouTube compilations of strikers scoring in inferior leagues often they are one-on-one with a defender that is giving them 12 yards of space. Sorloth actually didn't miss many chances when he played for us but his positional sense and reading of the game was non-existent and his first touch was not always great. I remember in one example he followed the player with ball into the corner rather than making a run into space. I still think with the right coaching he could play a role down the line, but on his showings so far with Palace that is still some way off as it just doesn't appear to come naturally. Good luck to him in Belgium though.

Gent have given the lad the Number 10 shirt and he's straight in the starting line-up for today's big game against Anderlecht.

Didn't see the game. Not surprised, however. Pretty sure he will score regularly.

He has no future at Palace, however, but that need not necessarily be his fault. I've spoken my opinion on this many times.
