He's an absolute beast, strong and also quick, puts himself about and also seems to be quite smart on and off the ball.

Promising early signs, given time I think he could be the Murray upgrade we were hoping for in the way that Milo is on Jedi

Is that the Murray (and Gayle)that scored 4 at the weekend. Pardew you wnaaker.

Will score bucket loads in the Championship with Connor up front, should we not get the results we need over the next 10 games

I really think that playing two tall strong centre forwards is an ineffective luxury.
Time to rest Benteke and see what Sorloth can do in his place. At least he seems to have better ball control.

But when it comes down to it, if the midfield is over-run then anyone will struggle - a holding midfielder (and I mean one that can keep possession) is what we desperately need. Gayle and Murray would have thrived if we had had one.

Depends on how we play.

For it to work, you need to get the delivery right. I've mentioned it a few times, but the player who I think has got away with being poor recently has been Andros.

He had a few opportunities to get the ball into the box against Spurs, with two big targets to aim it, and generally failed to do anything.

Employee of the month is a good example of how someone can be both a winner and a loser at the same time.

But Andros is an England International for Christ sake!!

There is no evidence of Sorloth being anything other than pretty big and making a decent effort. If that is quality then I guess Cameron Jerome was quality. I'm predicting that they're of similar ability. I hope he turns out to be quality but I have my doubts.

But I am sure he will score bucket loads in the Championship next season with Connor, who may be ready by then, fingers crossed,as we adapt to the chairman's vision.

Amen to that. He's showed more effort and strength than CB. He's put pressure on defenders, bossed them off the ball - but more than that?

Does that mean CB is poor, or he just doesn't work in our (or Liverpool's team)?

I also saw people praising Wan-Bissaka (sp?) the other day. I personally thought he looked bang average, running out of position too many times.

Saw him smash Dembele to the ground in a 50/50 shoulder charge, I have never seen Demebele rag dolled like that before. Sorloth is a beast.
I do think he has shown quality, more quality than Cam Jam, this is despite not being played in his natural position. I am optimistic that he has what it takes to do well in the Prem. Just looking forward to when we can start him as the sole target man up top with a full strength squad supporting him.

Sorloth has got loads in his game play that needs to be brought out of him and playing him alongside Benteke is a mistake. He needs wilf, when fit, there could help bring the best out of each other i think and with the matches remaining,it could be our last hope of staying up so the quicker wilf gets back the better for everyone involved i think. With help of the rest of squad giving 100% for each other it could work out.

Is it pronounced Sorlot as this commenter keeps saying, or sorloth, with a th at the end?
