If they were good enough, they'd have ben around the 1st team already this season. Hodgson must be fuming at the transfer window. Will walk in the summer, i'm certain of it.

Really? How do you know this? Are you part of the club's management team? If not then you have no idea whatsoever and simply letting your imagination rule your lack of information on the subject.

I'm beginning to wonder if we don't give one of the promising youngsters a run out in the middle of this injury crisis whether it's worth while wasting all that money on the academy and just disbanding it.

For all of his perceived faults Frank at least gave some of the youngsters a run out and I don't think any of them let him down

Midlands, he did pre-season.In the League he had Lokilo on the Bench for 3 games.
Lumeka was on the bench against Burnley and IMO did OK when he came on.
Certainly in the friendly against Schalke Lokilo played and was involved in everything.
Roy will pick them if and when needed.

It is partly cultural, and partly, criticism from both inside and outside the club, driven Dave. I am astounded how unwilling managers in the PL in general are to bring youth through. Now I am from a place where a young debutant is 17 or even 16 so look at it with different eyes but I am certain it is not just football matters.
Does not every club need a few local youngsters and players who care for the club, for the first team to keep a connection with the fans?
The "high money stakes" have distorted the game so much us fans are semi accountants and all we think is buy, buying power and get another mercenary in. It is part of the game of course, but imo has gone way too far.

Why then do you suppose that the current manager, so far, disagrees? We'll soon find out if Roy's changed his mind.

He can walk whenever he likes, why the summer?

Because he's a decent chap, and will refuse to walk out on a job half done. However, this summer, once Premier Status is secured he will walk away from Parish and his bullsh*t, just like every other good manager we've had has done, and i would not blame him for a moment.

If you're "certain" he's going in the summer, fancy a bet? Proceeds to charity of the winners choosing.

Good post Yohan ,I noticed Sam was not willing to play Ademola Lookman.
So the youngster got a loan with Leipzig.
Apparently did well at the weekend.

Lemeka defo deserves a chance, she’s been scoring a lot of goals and been a real handful for u23’s, what more can he do.

These kids are really bummed by the fact Palace doesn't have a team in the Premier League 2 (youth).

Why is that actually?

Remember being surprised and impressed by Lokilo. Roy may be less so but he’s not really spoilt for choice at the moment.

Parachuting him into our toughest run of games all season won't do much for his confidence if we get tonked
