Haven't noticed a change in atmosphere to be honest. Thought the second half was pretty loud.

Keep up the good work HF

Always tricky to get the crowd going when we keep conceding the first goal

Was at the game on sunday didnt notice they were that quiet. I thought the toon army pretty loud first half and us louder second half.
Watching on tv watford game all you could hear was apoor version of loll loll loll watfoooord Fc and come come on watford.

I think the problem with the HF is, and I preface this with the fact that I do appreciate what they’ve done for the atmosphere and the displays etc, they just take themselves too seriously. I think the dip in noise is because those behind them in block B and around that area are tired of the same old chants, and want a bit of humour and jovialness from time to time to get behind. When we go to football we want abit of a laugh now and again we don’t all dress all in black and think we’re hard as nails. Even their reluctance to get behind “Roy Hodgson’s red ‘n’ blue army” for abit and sticking to South London’s just grates abit. If the Hf lightened up I’m almost certain the noise would also go up with it, just look at the three little birds chant from last season as evidence. Just one mans opinion ofc but I know I’m not alone in this thinking.

I agree. Most of their songs are so dull.
Even 'We love you, we love You' gets right on my t1ts. Been done to death.

What we need is a good dildo banner, call it a fortress and lighten the mood. It's all a bit nervy at the mo.

It seems like the people who lead them have changed this year and they have got even less reactive to the rest of the crowed or to what's happening on the pitch. Each song lasts almost exactly 5 minutes, before changing to the next one like they have a set list.

I quite live Zombie Nation and three little birds. It seems the great escape and carnival de Paris are never sung anymore. But more importantly is that when we get a corner or a free kick we aren't going with the elongated Eagles chant which used to crank up the atmosphere & tension for the defending team.

They keep trying out songs which are dreary and kill the atmosphere. Like the "we're crystal Palace, blah blah blah blah" which no one knows the words too, or the "ner ner ner ner ner crystal Palace" song which sounds like you are making fun of the disabled.

and i think, there lies the problem, whereas the HF do a sterling job, it also takes others joining in for it to not sound like a few hundred chanting.

if others are nervous & not enjoying themsleves due to us chasing the game they wont be as loud.

on new years day i took my nephew to his 1st ever game at leicester.

up until the 60th minute the atmosphere was awful, it normally takes something on the pitch to get people going.

we are extremely lucky the HF try regardless

If all the crowd were as loud as the HF (for the same length of time they sing) then I think we may be closed down as a noise nuisance. Long may they continue.

Very good.

I was in Z - didn't notice anything different. I have noticed that people are very much reluctant to try and join in with the chants at times.

Agree with the above post that they take themselves too seriously. I noticed it seemed to change when that Tudor(?) bloke got banned when he gave Bolasie a present.

They do have some good new chants going, but as previously mentioned, no one knows the lyrics, so it's pretty hard to join in, unless it slowly filters from the rest of blocks B and C.

The whole atmosphere has gone downhill and downhill year on year...don't know if it's the HFs or all of us to blame but Selhurst is not the place that it was 3 years ago.

I was at the Burnley match at the HF end of the Arthur, and the atmosphere was awesome. The crowd was joining in with the HF for the entire match.

I watch the away matches on TV, and you can always hear the Palace fans, usually louder than the home fans.

I don't get people complaining about the HF making noise and singing songs. I guess we'd prefer to be like Arsenal, which is dead silent for every match, except for a little polite applause when they score a goal.

2018 Jan. (Sako) Palace 1 - 0 Burnley
2019 May (Batshuayi, Batshuayi, OG, Van Aanholt, Townsend) Palace 5 - 3 Bournemouth
2020 Feb. (Van Aanholt) Palace 1 - 0 Newcastle

Maybe you should encourage a dress up week - ball gowns and black tie- maybe Disney Princess week for the next home game?

Medical scrubs might be more appropriate
