Was Niasse on the premises about to sign? Did we leave him too late? Did Sørloth signfor similar money? Is 1 striker acceptable?

Was the Ronnow keeper available in August and January? Was he available for less than Guaita? Did we leave the Ronnow guy too late?

Now either Parish is pretending to sign these players and never intends to to placate the manager when he knows FFP means we can't afford them or we can afford them.

Niasse wasn’t our fault. It was his agents fault and Everton backed out. Maybe we didn’t really fancy Ronnow and it was a last minute thing for a reason and it didn’t work out for that reason. Sorloth was a target all along and we got him.

I am loath to speak for another poster, but where I read "insignificant" I read relatively trivial in the scheme of where this club is going.

I don't agree with everything you have said - much opinion filtered through red mist? - but you make some good points about the way SP has managed the squad and the fact that we have lost 2 managers who - unheard of in the Prem - have walked rather than be fired. Because of the money and prestige of Prem management, I suspect most head coaches will tolerate just about anything to stay in post. So why did 2 middle-ranking managers leave? Something is not right.

Then again - and I know a lot of posters are annoyed that this is raised each time SP is criticised - there is still the small fact that we are a club that has gone from c.10p in value that owned only its name to £150M and ownership of its whole capital infrastructure... in only 8 years.

As a small unfashionable club, we are still expanding in terms of enriching the brand image and non-TV commercial revenue. We are rebuilding the ground in a sensible progressive way - stand by stand. We do not have the funds of Liverpool or Spurs to do the whole lot in one go. We will improve the training facilities and academy but, unlike most of our competition, we are having to attempt this within the M25 where land is very scarce and very expensive.

At the playing end we give the appearance of an organisation still finding its way. At the corporate end recovery from near liquidation to a sound business unit is ongoing with the trajectory still upward. As anyone in commerce will tell you, we will see improvements in the former as the latter continues to grow.

Trouble is, the pace is probably too slow for most football fans.

Best to have nothing to bring people into the game, occupy defenders and pull them around etc then.

Hodgson has worked miracles with what he has been given which illuminates our goal difference. Despite demanding a keeper publicly last month he was let down by Parish.

Once again - name a team with worse squad depth (aka less cover of adequate experience/quality) in both attack and in goal.

Am I allowed to say stop bellyaching and just get behind the team. ....
Its not Parishes fault we have so many injuries...... or that the 30 mil striker he bought has lost his mojo. s*** happens we have to deal with it and stick together.
