I'm afraid I disagree that we have a "Fighting chance".

Hodgson has done a terrific job but I stated a while back that we couldn't hope to carry on that run of form and with the run of forthcoming games and our worsening injury situation, sadly I feel that we are doomed. I really cannot see anything other than relegation.

Everybody is entilted to their opinions but Willo it is getting tiresome hearing you say we are going down every season or going to lose every week!

I appreciate we are not Barcelona but you are the most negative poster on here & please try to be abit more positive. We have got some hard fixtures coming up but even if we lose to Spuds,Man Ure,Chelski & Pool we can easily pick up enough points in the remaining games to stay up.Also we will have important players back from injury for the winable matches.

I think we all need to hang on for the ride. It might be bumpy, but whatever happens, come May, it will be over.

One thing is for sure, when you are sitting on a plane that is going through bad turbulence, the last thing you need is someone sitting next to you screaming about how we are all going to die.

So I think I am going to let the rest of you argue about whether we are going to stay up, or go down; hold on tight and try to look relaxed.

With respect I don't "Buy" the argument that there is an acceptance we won't pick up many (If any) points in our forthcoming games but 'Hey Presto' at the flick of a switch we will then carve out a sequence of results in our so called 'Winnable' games amidst a favourable set of fixtures.

Momentum is very important in football and we will be going in the opposite direction. We shall probably be in the bottom three and the pyschological effect of a bad set of results and a plummet into the relegation zone cannot be overlooked.Besides all these players who have been injured need games to get 'Match fit' and there won't be many games left.Dire situation.

With respect while momentum is important, players coming back from injury also give the team a huge boost (as in wilf v chelsea)
So as long as we don't get hammered in the next few games, and the team stays positive (unlike you) we have a good chance of getting the points we need in the remaining games.

Relegation is becoming more and more likely every week and we will now not have 15 players that can compete against top level opposition. The Parish apologists can say all they want but enough is enough PARISH OUT!

Calm your pants. It's funny how you state that a 30mil player refuses to play yet Parish is a penny pincher. Have some faith in the manager and the team they should've earnt it by now and deserve all of our support until the end of the season. its the least all of us fans can do. Just relax and enjoy the ups and downs without wetting yourself.

Also Parish put and who in? The Vinkies!

Do not agree with Parish out at all but our performances in the last few transfer windows have left a lot to be desired.

To think we are an established Premiership club and have only had one striker for the whole season and poor strength in depth is concerning.

We are hardly established, most Holers said Stoke were established.
We are one of 14 teams endeavouring to stay in this league.
Third goaly short at the moment.
12 injuries suggest we are fairly strong in depth, to put 11 out tomorrow plus up to 7 subs.
I’m sure the Top 6 would struggle with a dozen first teamers abscent.

Like your footnote Alan, hope Willo notices it. Maybe he will really retire from here when we stay up.

This - think Willo is HOL's own Private Frazier - "we're Doomed"..!!

Sounds just like my Dad, only has something to say when things ain't going all our way - even when things are going well only sees the negatives - drives me nuts..!!

There's 11 games left yet, lots of twists and turns left to come.

Discounting WBA there are 9 teams within 6 points of each other - of those will go down with WBA - think they are gone..!!

Get our walking wounded back - we arguably have the strongest squad of those 9 with the most favourable run in over the last 6 games.

After 8 games we were no points no goals and everyone wrote us off - some of the doom and gloomers on here were talking about going down with record low points.

But we fought back and we are where we are.

Be honest if someone offered us this position after losing our 8th straight game 4-0 against Man U we would have broken their arms off for it.

Get a grip - have some faith and optimism.

It ain't going to be any walk in the park - but with Roy in charge and players coming back I think we'll be fine.

For me I see Brighton and one of Huddersfield, Stoke or Newcastle going down with WBA.

Time will tell - but as others have said strap yourself in because it's going to be a bumpy ride..!!

5th season in the Prem isn't established??.. How many years constitutes established?
You've answered my other points but I note you can't explain away only starting the season with with one striker?

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

Parish simply has to go,he sold Murray and Gayle, left us with one striker, appointed DeBoer. Signed the "must play well, I need a contract"Sako.Put Delaney on a new contract. Now Sakho won't play because it is a little chilly outside. It is coming up to half-time Murray one Gayle two.

Established or not, the reason we are where we are today is down to an ill thought through managerial appointment and failure to address the areas of the squad that needed urgent attention.

It's hard to legislate for this season's ridiculous injury situation but to have a Premier League club entering the season with just one recognised striker and then having only an untried 20 year old goalkeeper as back up at this critical time, sorry but that's tantamount to negligence.

I'm sort of Parish agnostic, nothing against him personally, but if he's due the credit for 5 consecutive seasons in the Premier League, then he's got to accept responsibility if we get relegated.

Well in my book established has got to be in this league and no chance whatsoever of relegation,so Top 6.
For years Stoke and West Brom have aimed for 40 points and then downed tools.
Stoke for 10 years have done it but are struggling this season.
Agreed ideally we needed another striker,we have rectified that now.
Goaly on a pre contract for the Summer,12 players to hopefully return.
Win or draw tomorrow.
COYP.
Ps West Brom 2 down.
