Shame SP appears to take control of transfer dealings, an area where he clearly needs some experienced assistance. For example,
desperately needed a new gk and signed the Spaniard on a pre contract deal to join us in July, provided we are not relegated!!!

Appearances can be deceptive! Transfer dealings are handled by Phil Alexander and Dougie Freeman. To my knowledge Alexander has years of experience in transfers.
Its easy to blame Parish, but he isn't a one man show, many believe, as it suits their agenda.

Had a conversation about "Mr Palace" yesterday, we may be doing him a disservice but neither of us know why he is still there. Certainly need an upgrade

If taking control of transfer dealings means signing the cheques yes he does that. Just like every chairman
Guaita’s team did not want to sell him.Confirmed by Roy. Then sign another one
The relegation bit might/might not be true. So whats your point?
All the managers we have had he has supported (within budgets) Except the current one

Whoever is responsible ... the recent transfer dealings were very disappointing and we did not fill the TWO positions that were critical. We can all see that.

You don't really believe that? Spurs were very poor but apart from some stalwart defending we were hardly ever in it. No forward momentum whatsoever.

Personally I hoped for a 0-0.
Spurs a top 6 side should always beat The Palace.
With 12 missing we did well to hold out for 88 minutes.

I hope Roy stays but I suspect whatever division we are in he will walk away. He has proved he is still a good manager after England and at 71 he doesn't need another year of struggle. I think January transfer window will prove the point when he decided. If we are in the Championship I think Dougie will be our manager.

Why do you think that? Its not like he was joining a team that was rocketing up the table was it. I think he did it because he likes the club and he enjoys management. Let's face it, he doesn't need the money. Leaving whenever it happens will not in my opinion have anything to do with transfer windows.

Agreed Alan. Done by the dreaded cramps we were. A point was there for the taking and I am convinced we would have got it if Tomkins stayed on.

Yes, we did well to hold out but Spurs did not take their chances. I thought they were poor. I am still dubious about the corner from which they scored because I don't think the ball went out. However, there was no threat from us on their goal.

Fine Spurs did not take there chances, same as Palace missing last minute penalties.
There you go dubious corner.
No threat up front agreed we did not have Wilf.
Just as Spurs are not so good without Harry.

Yes, that's one position. We had all month and weeks before to plan but he signed on deadline day. Very impressive. Fudged up the signing of a goalie because we either didn't pay enough or left it too late for the selling team to find a replacement. It looks amateurish!

Agreed Henry but with the midfield we were forced to play we were never going to play anything other than a defensive game. I'm almost certain a point at home would have been Roy's target at the start of the match and regardless of how bad you thought Spurs played I thought we stifled and frustrated their play well. We deserved a point for our endeavour but it wasn't to be. I was too far away to see if it was a corner, but Hennessey looked annoyed.
