Yeah, it's looking like a big fight later in the year between AJ and Wilder is nailed on now......well nailed on if Joshua overcomes Parker.

There is talk that Hearns wants Miller in the summer before Wilder......or maybe he is just using Miller as a fall back plan if Wilder isn't reasonable over money.

Miller is interesting, huge man who throws a lot of punches......and it will be interesting to see if Fury is the man he was when he announces a comeback fight.

I think Wilder looked durable when he was under pressure from Ortiz. Although Joshua would have put him away in the 7th.
He’s obviously heavy handed, but not sure he is big enough at fifteen and a half stone.

Wilder has a punchers chance against AJ, though AJ I believe has the bigger heart, proving this in the Klitchko and Whyte fights.

I'd like to see how Wilder would deal with a telegraph pole of a jab hitting him 10 to 15 times a round before the big bombs come out.

What I would say is i'd like to see AJ about a stone lighter as he'll need to retain his mobility.

Exciting fight.

The real crime in this fight was finding out that all three judges had Wilder a round up going into the final round.

This wasn't a fight with fifty fifty rounds. Ortiz was clearly up by at least 2....which was what I had and others I know had 3.

Judging in high level boxing is so dirty......this area has needed reform for so many decades.

Another thing that pissed me off was the cheating in Wilder's corner coming out for round 8. The ref allowed them an extra 10 to 15 seconds over BS with no censor.

Agreed on the judges, shambles. Wilder was finished and another 15 seconds on the end of the round would have seen him gone but Ortiz punched himself out and was done for after. Wilder has a hell of a right hand and I believe he can take Joshua. To me Wilder v Joshua is first man to hit clean wins.

Completely agree with this.

A real 50/50 fight.

Will be a fight that transcends boxing - providing of course that Parker does not spoil the script!

That was bad but the last part you've written was the real crime, and it was more than 10-15 seconds. Let me pretend to have the doctor check your vision, despite the fact you'd just been sat down in that corner for a minute already.

"Both s*** at boxing", never heard such nonsense. It was a good fight where both stuck to their game plans. Wilder didn't do anything for 4 rounds plus about 2 and a half minutes of the 5th, then shows what he can do. The 7th was an epic round by Ortiz.

Jonny Nelson's card was spot on IMO.

Yep, good fight and also very see saw....not much in the way of close rounds either way.

The judges don't really have any hiding place.....and that extra time coming out for the eighth......blatant.

Somehow all 3 judges gave them a split of the first 4 rounds, which Ortiz won easily as Wilder didn't throw anything. The scoring is pretty fair thereafter.

The Dirrell v Uzcategui fight before the main event was very good. A rematch from last year, when Uzcategui got unfairly DQ'ed for a slightly late punch while comfortably winning, and got brutally blindside punched by Dirrell's uncle afterwards. He made Dirrell quit in his corner, even though he then tried to insinuate that his corner pulled him out against his wishes. It was even announced that way afterwards which was a joke, 100% Dirrell gave up. Uzcategui was doing a number on him, for the second time.
