I’m not joking... I’m 29! I have never felt so deflated and distraught after a loss in my life. It’s destroyed me.... the passion and desire and the want to win by all the players was emense . I couldn’t fault any of them. PVA had the game of his life, Wan-Bissaka is going to be special. Benteke was back to his old self. Milivojevic fought for everything and won everything.Jimmy Mac was an engine. Sorloth could run a marathon now. Hennessey made a couple of great saves. Kelly was solid. Schlupp had touched of class. Townsend had the best first half I’ve seen from any player And Tomkins had his usual passion, fight and solid game.
We did not deserve to lose. We were fantastic. They were savers he. 2 moments of shear class (de gea save) (Matic goal)

I’m distraught!!!!

This will effect me all week!!

Wait til WBA turn us over and relegate us11

This thread surprises me

Even at 2 up we didn't look comfortable
With Zaha in the team he brings the ball forward and gets us up the field , giving our defenders and midfield a breather .
We lost today thru sheer tiredness of defending and closing down for 90 minutes
Don't worry mate
We've suffered a lot worse defeats than today
We didn't deserve to win today
We will stay up ~ just

Does anyone know how many points we have taken off the top six this season. I mean no one expects lots but....

It must be really poor.

Trust me it doesn't get easier as you get older I can still feel the pain of being relegated under Dowie in 2005 but you do recover to get on with your life. I believe the players did all they could but to keep the intensity up was always a big ask and this is where Roy should have made some changes. As much as Roy is doing a good job he lets everyone down with the lack of movement off the bench. Jose made significant changes but Roy as usual just sat there. I don't buy the fact we have no one on the bench either for he has made little changes throughout the year unless though injury. Let's hope we get points from Chelsea.

Gutted for an hour or so after the match, then logic started to set in.
We didnt expect to get anything before the game, but our game was described as most entertaining of the weekend.
If we can run a good attacking team like Utd, this close, then what are we worried about.
Our absent players will be returning real soon to make us even better, so what am i worried about ?

Like someone said, if not for a world class save and a world class goal, we would have had 3 points. Perm any 1 from 2 and we have a point.

Chelski better look out.

Not sure about that.
In forty years of watching Palace I don’t think I’ve witnessed a more disappointing defeat - a last minute loss on the back of another last minute loss against Tottenham.
What makes it so disappointing is that it was a heroic performance with some very good individual performances.
Afterwards I thought how crushing it must be for the players with self doubt starting to creep in.
I just hope the return of key players who did not play in these morale sapping defeats can help the team go again.

The only thing to say about last night is BOLLOCKS

Sorry just needed to get that off my chest before going to work .

How we didn't get something out of that Ill never know but I guess its another that has slipped by because our squad has no depth .

And we still need a striker

It was just like the f***ing cup final all over again. Got United exactly where we wanted them, then failed to close the game out and make a challenge when it mattered. At least we didn't do a stupid dance this time though.

Hopefully we will beat that lot at least once before I die.

Sorry lads but its my fault . I prayed to the football gods in 1972 to let us beat them once before I die and don't care what happens after that . Really feel guilty about that especially at the two cup finals when with all my pals cheering I knew what was coming ,as I did last night .

Sorry again

Jose acted, made good substitutions, Roy didn't even react although the tide had clearly turned. Sorloth was knackered after 70 mins and I expected him to be replaced and a 4-5-1 system put in place. We get over run in midfield week in week out and Jimmy Mac and Luca are run into the ground by the end of a game.

I was gutted when they scored their winner but that was a brilliant game of football in which we really played our part.
