Benteke is a scapegoat. He was excellent tonight, arguably the best player on the pitch. De Gea doesn’t pull one out the hat and it’s a complete performance all round. Forget the hysteria for a second, Benteke does a lot more than people give him credit for. He may not ever fit into our style of play but attempting to rip into him tonight is just silly. He did a lot

Well said! At last a comment from someone who actually watches the game!

Last night I went to my bed devestated for the players, Roy and the fans. I felt angry but not st the club or the players but at Jose because I think he’s a disgusting human. He sat there looking entitled and cussing his players at 2-0 down. The man is vile. Nothing special about him or Man U.

This morning I feel very very proud of the club. What a effort against hundreds and hundreds of millions of pounds worth of players. I wouldn’t swap one of ours for there’s.

The back four were putting everything on the line, Tomkins was class, PVA was like a jack rabbit. Kelly was Kelly, solid. AWB was like mr soft with his long legs making there wingers look silly. The midfield were disaplined and solid. Shlup was superb, he was a great outlet, been missed. Townsend as usual was tireless. The two boys up front worked hard but clearly sorloth is the future.

Roy is doing a super job, we’ve always been in games and he’s got everyone playing hard. I’ve got no worries we about staying up with our run in compared to stoke and Southampton.

Lastly mr parish is getting a lot of stick, might be worth thinking about him as our saviour as he bailed the club out. Made a plan, got us in the prem and made the right appointment every time in that moment to keep us in the league. The recruitment has been good over all and he’s put lots money in. Not too mention the ground upgrade.

But we could always get like West Ham or get in a foreign lot from the Middle East and end up like all the failed ex prem clubs who sold there souls. If we go down I’ll thank a 70 year old for a monster effort and the chairman for a lot of memories in the prem. we won’t tho as we have a good club from top to bottom. A chairman that cares, passionate manager and players and the very best fans in the world.

I might be way off but watching Roy’s ‘broken man ‘ post match interview he was talking injuries and I think when he referred to treatment room injuries he was having a pop at Sakho by saying people who feel something in there legs basically need to man up and help out the eleven who are playing week in and week out

Jose acted, made good substitutions, Roy didn't even react although the tide had clearly turned. Sorloth was knackered after 70 mins and I expected him to be replaced and a 4-5-1 system put in place. We get over run in midfield week in week out and Jimmy Mac and Luca are run into the ground by the end of a game.

^^ This. For some unknown reason he will not use subs until the last 15 mins. We signed 3 players in January and only 1 has been given game time despite our injury crisis. We got a promising midfielder on loan for £2m from Benfica who has scored goals for Malmo last season - what was the point? Is he even going to get on the pitch at any point? The players were shattered in the second half and needed fresh legs - everyone could see it except Hodgson.

You need to look back at the history of what happened from 2008 onwards between Jordan, Parish and Alexander not to mention the finance company to make a more informed comment..

You points are wrong on many levels. We lucked promotion that season, it wasn't a plan. Made the right appointments? Warnock? Fdb? Really?

What money has Parish put in? We've been running at a profit each season so the Premier League has been paying everything. Or, do you mean the clubs money is Parish's money?

Also, if credit is being thrown around for plans instead of achievements, I'm going to fund a new ground and pump £500m into the transfer kitty in a few years time. Worship me!

Don't get me wrong, Parish has done good things but people who hero worship him are pathetic and need to grow up.

And people who refer to individuals as 'Mr' are bum kissing imbeciles.

It is insulting to claim that an experienced manager like Hodgson somehow didn't recognise that players wre fatigued after a monumental effort.

He did bring on Riedewald to shore up the midfield but at the end of the day you just cannot introduce 'Fresh legs' without considering the shape and balance of the team.If he felt it was beneficial to make further changes he would have done so.Perhaps he just doesn't rate some of the players on the bench !

Your points are fair and correct but at 2-1 even on TV/BBC Radio they were saying we were tired and United would go on to win the game.

Needs are and all that, a change should have been made to freshen up the team. Change the shape if needs be, we did it at 2-2.

Why have we got 2 lads on the bench (Jach and Rakip) if Roy doesn't fancy them?

Personally, I'd have brought on Rakip. Put him on the right and Townsend on the left. After all, he's only got 9 games left of his loan.

Hopefully your just talking your normal rubbish and haven’t got £500M to help Mr Parish.
The club would be in a right old state with you in charge.
Just look forward like Mr Roy Hodgson does to the next game ,rather than post some drivel about what happened in 2008.

I was replying to what the previous poster posted and correcting his misguided worshipping of a 'saviour' that is a false one. Therefore I have to mention 2008 else how can I correct him?

You seemed to missed the irony of what I said when I mentioned the £500m in that people should not be praised for plans and good intentions but for what they actually do.

Understand now, Mr Glazier? (Yes, I know that is not your name and yes, I am being condescending!)

I have to admit that at 2-1 I was saying to supporters around me that we just couldn't hope to hold out playing as we did.We needed to get hold of the ball but we just couldn't retain possession.I mentioned that I felt we needed to bring Riedewald on to shore up the midfield and play with one up top.

At the end of the day for all our positives we conceded some poor goals as we did against Tottenham and perhaps fatigue played it's part.Cannot blame Hennessey for the goals but he really gave me the jitters with the way he dealt with crosses and his slowness to come off his line.

Again you display your lack of understanding and knowledge.
