When I was a lad I saw a few games at the old Reading ground, Elm Park, as I was a ball boy there. In the eighties I saw a few Spurs games as the place where I worked used to get free tickets. That was when Micky Hazard, Gary Mabbutt, Garth Crooks, Chris Hughton, Marc Falco, Ossie Ardiles and Ricky Villa et al played for them. As a Palace fan I think the only other team that I have watched is Sutton Utd.

If Palace were out of town and I was down for work on a Saturday morning I would go to Millwall . Used to work in Key Glassworks and would get free tickets as the Millwall players and directors used to use the works car park . About 6 tickets would be pinned on the noticeboard all week and they were always there as I walked out at midday on the Saturday . A few pints in the Archer on Cold blow lane and go and watch Millwall .Always a crap game mind but it was beter than going home and watching Big Daddy 'fight' Giant Haystacks on Grandstand . Yes as I recall I went three times in the five years I worked at the glassworks
And we still need a striker |
