Sorloth was w*** today. Surprised so many here singing his praises. Should have had two, lost every aerial battle, jogged about, poor first touch. I feel as though it should have been him off at HT, rather than Benteke, and that sentiment was definitely echoed by others that were there. Quite surprised posters here think it was the other way round!

Hit the post and legit goal disallowed. Oh and started the attack for the goal. What do you know about foot ball??

Sorloth is very similar to Connor Wickham. He has goals in him and he's working hard to settle in. Should have had a goal today, which is miles better than anything Benteke has done lately. I'd say Sorloth should start with Benteke on the bench for the last twenty if Sorloth isn't making an impact. I just don't understand what's wrong with big Ben, but all strikers go through barren spells. Wish it would end soon...

Whoever plays best with Wilf! Wonder who he would rather have alongside him? Sorloth works harder and has better positional sense but is raw. Benteke should be the obvious choice given his experience and ariel threat but is out of form and lazy. Not a great choice to be honest. Just don’t play them both together.

Is this really a question?

Assuming it is, Sorloth all day long. Benteke is lazy, clueless and bottles out of almost everything. Sorloth may need a few games to show his best, but he fights, challenges, wins the ball and plays with courage.

Benteke this season is one of the biggest embarrassments I’ve seen at Palace.

Why were we so much better in the second half? Because for the first time in ages we played with 11 men

Unfortunately at the moment neither player looks to have a goal in them and Palace will have to get goals to win the requisite matches to stay up.

On Monday Tekers produced an outstanding save from de Gea and it would have beaten anyone else. Today Soerloth hit the post and had a perfectly legitimate goal chalked off by an incompetent t**t in black. Wilf and Soerloth together in the second half looked a proper handful and if they'd pulled it back for a point it would have been no injustice.

Not an easy call for me.
Benteke is a proven prem goalscorer with a World Cup to try and get to. Problem is he's having his worst ever scoring season and to me something is and has been troubling him all season.
Sorloth is raw and untried in this division, but has only played against the top teams so far. Took his unjustly disallowed goal well, but like it or not he missed when he hit the post. Neither one is holding the ball up as well as I would like, but with Wilf alongside that should help whoever plays.
On balance I go for Alex because mentally Benteke is shot and the kick up the arse might help him recover some form.
Whoever does play needs to be backed by the other 9 outfielders with goals, which so far hasn't happened, because they can't do it alone.

This is true whoever plays upfront needs support which against the elite has been difficult to do but in the remaining fixtures all this will change and the outcome for our forward players will be positive. COYP
