Not that I questioned his motivation, I put it straight down to a huge cash bonus.

I think there was more to it than that. I think he and the FAW had one falling out too many and in the end it suited both parties.

Surprised he took the job but in theory he only had to stop them being relegated for it to be deemed a success. In spite of everything it is only now that they are starting to be cut adrift. He probably has enough credit from Wales for Sunderland to be deemed just "one of those jobs"

the dignified don't even enter in the game

It was a tough job to take on.

His record in the PL at Sunderland :
P20 W4 D5 L11.

He signed 4 'Loanees' and 1 'Free Agent'.
Owner has wanted to sell for a while and it was mentioned not so long ago he was willing to sell the club for nothing but of course the new owner would inherit the debt.

Ground capacity of some 48,000 but they are getting 27/28,000 this season which is the 4th highest average in the Championship.
Last season in the PL they averaged some 41,000 which was the 7th highest.Terrific support for a struggling team both last season and this.

Can't help but wonder how many of them signed up to season tickets while they were still in the PL. It's impressive in number but not in terms of capacity filled. Even if they stay in the Championship I can see that number going down a good chunk next season.

Oh yeah, he'd been as successful with Wales as it was going to get too. Funny that it was really only down to the expansion of the tournament, if it'd been as per the 2012 Euros they'd have faced a playoff to have even qualified.

Not that great a support if 14000 deserted them when they got relegated....

Lost at home again, man sent off, 5 points from safety and their "international" midfielder gets nicked for drink driving.

And yet again, our Johnny is injured and likely to be out for another month or two, hardly helping their cause.

Thought he got injured on the pitch rather than in a fight.
Any updates??

True, but his one goal in 559 minutes probably gives him one of the best conversion rates at the club this season.

They're that bad.

Apparently he was, in a club in Kent. Which would make sense.
