For sheer amount of powder days this has been one of the best seasons in Slovakia since I've been going there (15ish years), last year the snow was s*** but they have a very modern mountain without a drag lift in sight and snow making equipment so if it's cold enough it's snow sure. Honestly of all the obstacles I face filling the chalet is the least of my worries, I've got four friends who all run chalets out there (propaganda,chalet Slovakia,mist adventures & check Slovakia) all are sold out for the season & already taking bookings for 18/19. I'm doing everything I can to get a place now as property prices are climbing all the time & I don't want to be priced out. There are a few places left where you can get a bargain, Serbia is one & Bulgaria is another actually you can buy a studio flat 20 mins drive from Bansko for �10k. The place we have found is going to need a bit of work however location is perfect & I'll have enough rooms ready to take 8 guests by December. Actually cannot wait to get started. The place we have found is going to need a bit of work however location is perfect & I'll have enough rooms ready to take 8 guests by December.
