BBC website seems to be full of articles praising that as excellent and composed, "best performance in a long time" etc. etc. Anyone would have thought they'd demolished the Netherlands 6 - 0.

Exactly the same sh*** as we've heard before the last international finals and the ones before that and the ones before that.

Expect another complacent, lazy, arrogant and entitled display in the summer, some truly embarrassing results, and no involvement beyond the round of sixteen again at best.

Scotland were s*** as well but at least they know it.

You post the same thing after every England game - why do you bother following them?

It was a good performance from a team with an average age of 24 - nothing more than that.

I thought England played pretty well but do need a bit more goal scoring threat. If Kane is still injured they could struggle.

I wonder if the 'fans' who caused trouble will travel to Russia? If so I think some may not come back in one piece if they try it on over there.

Holland were rank bad how far they have fallen is unreal. England gave the ball away a lot as well as playing some tidy football with no end product, a waste of time like most friendlies. Was hoping Holland would treat this as a real game maybe they just are not good enough.

They (we) are not good enough. Combine it with calculating defensive set up and there you have it. A s***e performance from a poor quality team. We use to have several players from the top teams in Europe, now it's Dutch League, PL stugglers and Italian mid tableteams providing the players.

Thinking we played a WCfinal and semi final in the last 8 years, I think your assesment of "unreal" is a just one. Unfortunately.

I don't follow them.

I used to think the problem with England was the managers, but having seen how they played at international finals under Hodgson and how we play under him it's clear that that's not the issue.

In light of our governments recent attack on Putin any England supporter who values their health and life would be well advised to stay home.
From what I saw in France those super fit Russian thugs are very nasty. I don’t suppose the Russian authorities will be holding them back against our lot.
