Steve Smith is an Aussie
He wears a baggy cap
And when he saw some sticky tape
He said I'm having that...
He gave it Cameron Bancroft
Who rubbed it on the ball
Those cheating Aussie convicts
They'll never change at all!

Oh...Davie Warner’s Aussie
He wears the baggy green
He dribbles like a caveman
His behaviour’s obscene
He’s rather fond of Candy
She gives him such a thrill
But when he offers her de Kock
She begs for Sonny Bill!

Glad

The Aussies loved Ian Healy, another proven cheat.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

Smith's position as Captain is untenable and there is the possibility that he will play no further tests for Australia.
Could be further repercussions following the investigation.
Australia have hardly made a plethora of friends following their behaviour on the field of play in recent times.

I agree - Cricket Australia will kick him for a good while, if not period.

In 2012 alone 190,000 immigrants settled in Australia.

The idea that Australia as a nation is descended from convicts is as baseless as it is prejudiced.

so you're saying it's the immigrants' fault then?

The idea behind roughing up this side of the ball is that it could make the ball 'reverse swing'.

Reverse swinging of the ball in the recent Ashes series was a key Aussie success as they made the ball reverse swing in conditions not normally associated with it.

Commentators were puzzled to see this.

The analyst, Simon Hughes, thinks this has been tried before but I don't think there was anything noticeable during the Ashes, but can it be concealed effectively anyway......

This Sporting Life........

Wiggins didn’t cheat, he just exposed and exploited some s*** rules that were wholly inadequate. For TUE cycling should have a panel of doctors that agree the drug applied for is a normal treatment for said condition amongst the general public. Triamcinolone is not a run of the mill treatment for an asthmatic unless I guess they are struggling to breathe. If they’re struggling to breathe I doubt they’d be xompeting in the Tour de France. Smith and friends cheated with no grey area.

Cycling and athletics have been full of cheats for ever and a day and is one of the reasons why I have no interest in either sport as it's little more than a battle between the various chemists nowadays but even those with no interest in sport expect cricket to be above such antics.

Last year the Australians under Steve Smith looked up to the dressing rooms whenever there was a contentious decision and awaited a signal to see if they should review it.

When caught he put it down to momentary brain fade. This episode will no doubt be put down to complete brain disappearance

They've brought anything that happens to them upon themselves. They always go on about "the line" and them pushing it but not crossing it.

I can't believe how dismissive Smith was in his conference while admitting it, and all while still wearing his baggy green.

Smith, Warner, Lehman, Saker and the senior bowlers will be lucky if they ever represent Australia again. Bancroft might get some reprieve in a similar way to Amir when pakistan were caught spot fixing.

I wouldn't be surprised if the IPL teams cancel the contracts of anyone deemed to be in the "leadership group", they're hardly fans of Smith and the Aussie team after his "brain fade" incident when deciding to ask the balcony whether to review or not.

Optimistic as ever

Footage has emerged of Cameron Bancoft acting suspiciously with a video clip appearing to show him pouring sugar into his pocket before taking the field. It has been suggested that he looked sheepish and that the sugar could have been used to tamper with the ball.
