Maybe I missed it, but has there been any announcement regarding investigation, and hopefully punishment, of West Ham for all the trouble there? I guess future home games will have a police presence. Who would want to be a steward there after recent events, but I guess they'll try to get more stewards in. West Ham v Southampton is truly impossible to predict with any confidence, but I'd suggest Hughes is more inspirational than Moyes- which could well be key if either side goes a goal down.

I understood that there will be more security. However, that's irrelevant if the mob goes bananas there will be hell to pay.

Saints are like top 8 in regards to creating chances, they just aren't scoring and don't have much of a option.
West ham on paper have the better team, but their home matches are toxic and away games aren't any better in terms of results.
I really hope they go down and people look at the hierarchy and the whole debacle of the stadium as main reason.

i honestly look at their owners as - dare i say it, as parish on steroids. some of us (admittedly not all, so relax with the self righteous replies) think parish has an ego, does it for himself, well look at the west ham board.

We will know on Saturday. West Ham are at home to Southampton and the loser, if there is one, will be in deep trouble. Even a draw is tricky. In terms of the squad available, West Ham should not be in trouble but the toxicity around the club has taken its toll. Five home games in their last eight fixtures should be an advantage but it does not feel like that. Maybe the scenes during the defeat by Burnley will be a line-in-the-sand moment.
