Called the two penalty decisions correctly - ours he could hardly have got wrong - but failing to send Mane off completely ridiculous. Another outcome heavily influenced by an incompetent referee.

Apart from that error, he had a very good match. Players, of course, make far more errors over the course of 90 minutes.

Ridiculous that referees never have to come out and explain themselves. How can you not give a yellow for a deliberate handball?

Totally agree with this. Managers and Players have to do a after match interview so why not referees.

I personally I would like to see a league table for refs for each league and like with league tables the top and bottom two are either promoted or demoted.

I thought the ref had a good game, apart from the Mane incident. He most probably realised he made a mistake when Klopp immediately subbed Mane.

Saying that, the lino did help him at all. If Mane hadn’t handled the ball Cabeye was clean through ....

If Mane had been left on, would Swarbrick have given him a yellow and sent him off for blowing a snot rocket out of his nose? Just to make up for having blown the handball call?

If Mane had not needed to come off, would Lallana have remained on the bench and not done whatever damage he did to himself?

If you ever see Swarbrick at Tesco, will you break an egg on his head?

He generally got it right today, and Benteke .... what more is there to say.... but letting Mane stay on in that context at that point of the game... that's for me the biggest part of how we lost the point.

Infuriating.
