Me
No matey
Totally backing you up in your highlighting the issue.
Just saying I'm waiting for the comparisons to other kiddie fiddlers to justify why this isn't unique and overly different.
All of them whatever colour religion or status should have their balls cut off and shoved down their throat and left to bleed to death.
I think TR is brave and in this recent court case sending him down shows he was a massive scapegoat.
He is more and more right as every day goes by.

It must be my literal way of writing as you're not the first to read me wrong.
I hope I've clarified myself now

'Manchester mosque sermon 'called for armed jihad', say scholars' [Link]

Tommy Robinson revealed this ages ago. Mainstream media catches up two years later.

Erm... what about the bit in the headline where they are told they have to stop?

Because they are in a crowd and it's harder to control than otherwise. But there is no mistake....they want to control them.

Free speech has been curtailed by Blair's Labour party in this country and maintained by the so called right.

Totally free speech has been curtailed long before Blair, and rightly so in my opinion. Freedom is nothing unless it is matched by responsibilities. If your "speech" impacts the lives of others in an unreasonable way then it is for the protection of all that it be subject to restriction. You cannot print lies about someone without risking the libel laws. You cannot slander someone. You cannot incite terrorism, racial hatred or a breach of the peace. There are some others too but all make perfect sense in a well ordered democratic system. You can think whatever you like, and discuss it with others in private but go public and the public, via the law, have a duty to be involved. That's democracy!

For the avoidance of doubt any comments in response to a previous post are directed to its ideas and not at any, or all, posters personally.

In 1948 the UN drafted and then wrote 'The Universal Declaration of Human Rights'. Laws that would come into effect and create the standards for civilised nations....even though both the UK and US in effect had their own long before.

During the drafting the issue of these laws 'hate speech' came up......guess which country advocated for them?

The Soviet Union.

Both the UK and the US dismissed their constant lobbying for restrictions on speech down to 'offence'.

They were not included.

Now, forward several generations and listen to the various 'progressives' who advocate for this idea that offence should be restricted.

There's no real point arguing the toss with these people. As with the Salem witch trials, eventually when the gaze falls on them they will realise.....but they wouldn't defend their opponents so I certainly won't care.....Even though I'll likely be long gone.

The ultimate conclusion of socialism....if it isn't contested is communism.
