Gusset tried to close this site down. Great guy to refer to.

I don't think he did, as far as I know he thought the site was allowing people to go too far but he didn't want it closed.

Now, regarding Stephen Lennon

As far as I understand Wikipedia:

On 24 August 2010, Robinson was involved in a fight between supporters of Luton Town and Newport County in Luton. Robinson reportedly led the group of Luton fans, and played an integral part in starting a 100-man brawl.

I gather you find it in yourself to forgive him

On 29 September 2011, he was convicted of common assault after headbutting a fellow EDL member at a rally in Blackburn in April that year

You do not mention whether you forgive him this. I guess you do as he was 'confronting a neo Nazi' - something for which you regularly forgive people on the more leftish side of politics.

Robinson pleaded guilty at Southwark Crown Court to using someone else's passport—"possession of a false identity document with improper intention"—to travel to the United States in September 2012

Presumably he had good reasons

On 28 November 2012, Robinson was charged with three counts of conspiracy to commit fraud by misrepresentation in relation to a mortgage application, facing trial with five other defendants. He pleaded guilty to two charges in November 2013, and on 23 January 2014 he was sentenced to 18 months in prison.

Quite understandable.

Now here is the crux. When Robinson was questioned by The Guardian newspaper about having in the past blamed "'every single Muslim' for 'getting away' with the 7 July bombings, and for calling Islam a fascist and violent religion, he held up his hands and said, 'I'm sorry, I'm sorry.'"

So that's all right then, he has changed his mind and of course can be trusted in what he says. There is no way, for instance, that he has just learned to be more subtle in how he declares his intentions and views.

Total and utter crap. When you attack the income of a business the resultant conclusions if successful end in the business closing.

So you present sophistry and frankly I'm not surprised that you offer up warm words.

As for the view that the site had gone too far? Pretentious nonsense, who does he think he is....This site had been airing his radical left wing politics for years....support for the official terrorist antifa group expressed in full.

I've criticised this element of his past. Don't you read?

Seriously You mention this? Not worthy of the cut and paste.

There's quite a lot of criticism about this conviction. Regardless like the previous silly citation it has little to do with anything.

I'm not sure I completely trust that summary. The Guardian serves up hit pieces on its enemies as does all ideological media. I know Robinson wants Islam out of the UK. I don't agree with him to that extent but I certainly agree with him that it contains violent expressions practised in the modern day.....only an idiot or someone wantonly ignorant believes otherwise.

Robinson has stated that he criticises the religion not individual Muslims as each case is different. He recently did an interview with a pro western Imman. Perhaps instead of echoing hit pieces you should learn what people say.....you know, from actually watching video and hearing what they say.

I criticise all religions but there is only one religion that I know of where a public figure needs protection if they do the same.

Hmm, 10 months' imprisonment 'not worthy of the cut and paste' and a 'silly citation'.

I didn't see you criticise the headbutt. Only the football related incident. Which part didn't I read?

Presumably you didn't watch the link provided to you where Douglas Murray discusses that conviction.

No, it wasn't worthy of ten months in jail in my view. The conviction has nothing to do with why Robinson is regarded as the devil incarnate.

My god this is weak.

I criticised hooliganism, yes....that's violence or anti social behaviour.

As for the validity of him headbutting someone else I would regard that as unjustified violence. However I wasn't there to know what happened.

No, this is not weak.

The man has served jail sentences for various activities yet you choose to defend him. Apparently because you see him as being on the right side of a cause. I do believe you would not be so forgiving on most.

What you mean, 'defend him'. I've criticised violence that isn't self defence. He himself has disowned that previous life.

My criticisms of the convictions is based purely upon the prosecution of this man by the state. Exactly along the lines that Murray observes.

If he committed offences that deserved jail time then I have no problem with that.

It is however, a deliberate distraction from the central point.

Gusset, I am afraid to say was correct, look at the type and number of topics.

I spend so much time defending myself I can no longer contibute what I want to the forum, so much for the sniping thread on top of the forum, it seems there for the sole reason of removing certain left wing posters.

My biggest worry is for HOL in that being stripped of membership does not stop persons from contacting advertisers, and that being a website associated with non mainstream views righly or wrongly that the club will be very sensative post "Alfie vs homophpobia" in respect to its reputation.

Perhaps time to get rid of news/politics. If I was Guntri / Penge, I don't presume to know their thoughts, but, I would'nt be arsed with the effort.

Hides behind an assumed name, has a string of convictions for violence. Once tweeted he would send all Muslims who had arrived in Britain in the last 12 months home.

Hides behind standing up for free speech.

Not someone I would want to sit and have a pint with.

Oh my god, another victim card. It's a seemingly endless stream of crying from beta males on here. If you can't stand the heat darling go to bbs.....that's full of lefties and you will be right at home. If you choose to stay then suck it up snowflake.

As for your comments against the website.....frankly I think that shows you up.
