The thing with him is, he's in no danger of ever not being re-elected in that constituency. He could be as blunt as he wanted to be but he consitently skirts the issue.

A friend lives on a estate in Tottenham.... their lives are being made a utter misery by one gang.
They don't look Albanian either!

Also... if I hear the term "Black on Black Crime" again.. I'll scream.... just call it "black crime"

Did Lammy really blame Albanians???

Fair play to him.... He has the balls of a buffalo.

He knows who is to blame.

The thing is,.its politically toxic to say young black men are involved in gang crime.... Lammy, as a black politician has the platform to say things other politicians can't. For him to blame Albanians tells me all I need to know about his priorities (and it ain't stopping young black lads being killed).

Albanians are a fcuking nightmare...i remember a 3 or 4 years back coming up against a team of Albanians in the league at Eltham College..I was managing the 1st team whilst our reserves were playing the Albanians on another...all of a sudden all hell broke loose as one of their henchmen was sent off...the guy then punched the ref (ironically the son of a Chief inspector at the Met) and our first team then stopped their match to run over and help.

The Albanian supporters came on attacking players with keys in clenched fists etc and then the groundsman shouted he's called the police....at which point they all turned round ...casually picked up their gear and then got in their Maserati's, lambo's and Ferrari's before buggering off...leaving a trail of destruction...and WE got fined for our 1st team abandoning their match to help out their club mates!

Their cars give a clue to their earnings and then them being that violent is no surprise.

Did the police investigate the ref assault after they got in their cars with number plates?

We should blame the people who carry knives or guns and who kill people. We need to find out how to stop this happening not just blaming politicians but pointing fingers is so much easier than finding a solution.

Well, politicians are paid by us to come up with the solutions. Crime is up and it's their responsibility to protect the people. It's their job.

Increased stop and search and tougher sentencing for starters. A Sadiq Khan video on Twitter is not going to do anything.

I suspect that our drugs laws are part of the problem. Prohibition never works and if we can find an easy way to leagalise and tax drugs then it should cut out the need for these drugs gangs and gain tax revenue to enable us to afford more police officers.

Do you think that because weed is legalised where I live in California that all drug gangs and killings have gone??

If Lammy is right and the police have told him that it is eastern Europeans to blame. If they have broken the law, gaol them then deport them.

I agree, but would you adopt that same line of thinking to other races too?

...or just crime.

No... never. If there is a problem with young black males getting involved in gang violence we should never ever be afraid to call it out.

Read my posts on these boards... I recently tried to mentor a young black family member who was involved in gang trouble. He lasted weeks with me. He is currently waiting for a court date for a street robbery.

Diluting the problem helps no one (apart from a few silly peoples feelings)

a few years ago, the stop and search policy by police, was heavily criticised. The police were branded institutionally racist. This has allowed gangs to roam around unchecked. The same accusation allowed gangs in Rotherham, Telford and other places to groom young vulnerable white girls.
If there are problems within the police force, then it should be an internal matter. But we must not let them live in fear of liberals accusing them of racism. We are now seeing the effect of this liberal attitude, and many families are now grieving.

There’s some truth in this. A senior police officer told a LBC last night, that police officers are “hesitant” about stop n searching young black males.

It seems several Chief Constables have reported officers are hesitant about carrying out stop n search.
