I know we have a ton of injuries, but does anyone else think not using fresh legs from the bench in the past couple of weeks is part of the reason we are not seeing games out?

Late goals against Tottenham, Man Utd, Liverpool and Bournemouth I really hope doesn’t cost us come end of the season.

Need to just get through this nightmare season, and have a serious investment in squad depth over the summer!

I agree, it’s hard to criticise Roy but this is probably my only gripe. That said, the lack of squad depth with all the injuries probably doesn’t help but I still think a change or 2 wouldn’t hurt. Certainly didn’t hurt Bournemouth today!

I tend to think this could be the case, a set of fresh legs may have helped but we will never know. Our bench was not that bad today. This has been a question I asked a few weeks ago and I believe Roy is making a mistake not using fresh legs and mind.

"fresh" legs need a few minutes to play themselves into a game when your on the defensive as we saw with Delaney and Lee against Spurs.

Roy's made excellent subs against Chelsea and Watford at home this season but Fosu-Mensah should have played today IMO.

The bench looked weak.
Who could we bring on. Mutch ?
Of more crucial importance is the Club`s performance in the last transfer window.
Who was responsible for bringing in the Pole and
the Benfica.?
If the club`s performance in the window was stronger
then RH would have a better bench to use

True, but that was an enforced change I think?

Tomkins was playing really well that game until the injury, not suggesting we make subs at heart of defence.

Was thinking more bringing off attacking players for more defensive players to use up a bit of time and try and hold onto leads that we have let slip.

Yes, couldn't agree more.

What was the point in signing Messrs Jach and Rakip ?

One confusing one is he compliments Riederwereld (however you spell it) most weeks but he just sits on bench could of bought on today

Allardyce would have put another defender on to see the game out..did it last year every game we were winning at the end.,,come on Roy ...you should start to think like that ... 2/3 players were shot towards the end...sorry but I think your decisions are costing us

I’m with you all the way, but why do you think our so badly needed squad building will be any different this summer?

Both Allardyce and Pulis were very good with substitutions. Some time they changed players due to the opposition's maneuver - and it usually worked whatever time of the game. Lack of it is my only critism of Roy - don't blame him for a horrible January transfer window, though. When we really needed players to enter the A team.
