I congratulate you on an excellent post.

On the subject of standing in seated areas I was talking to a fellow supporter the other night who like me gets incandescent with rage about inconsiderate fans who stand and don't give a jot about those behend who wish to SIT and watch the game.

He stated that such behaviour is "Illegal" and I respecfully pointed out that it wasn't a criminal offence and hence not illegal.
The ground regulations of a club form a contract between the supporter and the club. Entering the stadium is an agreement to accept the ground regulations.
By standing, the supporter is in breach of that contract so standing is contrary to ground regulations.

Was in block Y AW on Saturday Row 27 and had to suffer the mugs who from about row 12 decided it was 'cool / tough' to stand for the whole 90 mins. I challenged a few in front of us to sit down but I can only assume that they were fearful of passing the message down - the only response I got was 'we're standing because it's Brighton!' - Made my blood boil. Looking to my right the rest of the AW was seated apart from the usual jump up for excitement.

Kids were so pissed off that one of them said at half time they wished Brighton would score 3 quick goals - then they would all sit down or leave - like the Sunderland match....
