Wasn't there one who played up in the north east or Hull as well? Or just Boateng?

To start in the first 11 this season there has been Lokilo and Kai Kai.
To feature after being a sub Lumeka.

The player you're thinking of against Hull was Ibra Sekajja he scored an 88th minute equaliser away in a 1 v 1 draw in April 2011.

Correct, that was a good day out!
Shame really a few more not given a chance this season.

If we want to be in the Prem we will see very few of our own come through sadly.
We are in a loadsamoney must stay in scenario and trying young blood is a luxury we will rarely be able to afford.
Shame

Hodgson has the option of putting them on the bench to give them Prem match day experience - he could even bring them on as subs, now there's a thought

Home grown players will always be a rarity in the Premiership, probably we wont see another one unless we get relegated, personally i would rather stay in the Premiership.

The last player to break into the side and play more than 10 games was Johnny Williams in 2011, before that it was Wilf in 2010 under Warnock just after we went into administration.

So basically players who were in the system under Jordan.

I think Liverpool had two ex academy kids in the same team last week didn't they? It can be done.
