Yes, those evil Americans. The ones who saved us in two world wars and were isolationists and pacifists until Europeans dragged them into the mess we created.
When was the last time the West used chemical weapons?

Fallujah a few years ago for certain. Shake n Bake, was the jocular term adopted. Look it up.

Indiscriminate use of Depleted Uranium ammunition before and since continues to poison and cause cancers.

Idiots are useful to the US too.

Evidence please.

The last time the US used chemical weapons was in Vietnam.

The US enabled you to grow up in peace. I definitely know who the real idiots are. My grandfather actually fought in a real war where the man in the street had to fight. Generations since have grown soft in the head.

Terrorism too is rising. Overfishing and the deterioration of the seas are truly worrisome. The list of endangered species is getting longer.

But while it is easy to be aware of all the bad things happening in the world, it’s harder to know about the good things. The silent miracle of human progress is too slow and too fragmented to ever qualify as news. Over the past 20 years, the proportion of people living in extreme poverty has almost halved. But in online polls, in most countries, fewer than 10% of people knew this.'

An interesting, and often sidelined point of view. Not to be misconstrued with saying everything is fine, but sometimes it's helpful to take a breath before diving back in.

Forum Triumvirate, ASSEMBLE

A refreshing bit of perspective - I have countless friends who are all convinced the world has gone to total s***, and taking the news/politics section on this website as an example, it's easy to see why people think this way.

Good to see it only took a couple of hours for this thread to descend into a slanging match, along with all the others.

Help yourself to any of the links obtained from simply using a search engine query "fallujah white phosphorous".

I await your admission that you are utterly wrong to assert that the US's last chemical weapons use was in Vietnam with interest.

As an aside, both my mum's dad and stepdad fought in WW2, one in North Africa and one on the Arctic Convoys. Your point is?

Makes assertion that's actually rubbish and which there is no accepted evidence for and then accuses others of being idiots.

You made the assertion, you provide the evidence for it.

My point about WW2 was clear and doesn't require restating.

Talk about inverted logic.

If you make a claim (though you only supported it), it is for the person making the claim to provide the evidence for it.

Not the person stating that it's untrue. I have simply called out this claim.
