I really wanted to find the thread that compared us to all the others teams and banged on about how all the others, Watford, Southampton, WBA, Brighton, Swansea, West Ham etc had all consolidated and moved on while we floundered all the time. Wonder what the OP thinks now?

Well done to Huddersfield. The fact that they avoided relegation with an above championship quality team reflects on the quality of the lower league teams in the prem. Having said that, they will be favourites to go down next season.

With respect, the point they got today hasn't secured their safety.

Except they haven’t avoided it yet.

Statistically there are always going to be results which buck the trend, we all know that, but also we all knew that there would not be enough of them to relegate us. We could have lost yesterday and still be safe !

Well done Huddersfield. Stay up and send sparky Hughes down to abuse referees elsewhere

I hope most people know that we are talking about the relegation run in (Thread) and not since October.

I am not a mathematician, but I would say Huddersfield are safe. Good luck to them.

The little club stays up. The big clubs relegated...hopefully Southampton. An excellent bit of business.

The only way Huddersfield can finish in the bottom three on 36 points is:

a) Southampton must beat Man City if they lose to Swansea
b) Swansea must beat Stoke if they lose to Southampton
c) if Swansea v Saints is a draw, they must both win their last games.

If Huddersfield get just one more point, then the only way they won’t be safe is scenario c).

I imagine Huddersfield will be praying for a draw on Tuesday or failing that, a Swansea win. It’s great taking a reasonably detached view of the proceedings now, isn’t it?
