Yes its nice to know that we would be safe even if we had lost yesterday.

Good luck to the Baggies. Great escape. Not gonna happen, got a bet with a Bournemouth fan that we will finish higher than them. Also, gotta finish above the seaweed. I think Southampton will make it, Swansea to go down.

The only way Huddersfield can finish in the bottom three on 36 points is:

a) Southampton must beat Man City if they lose to Swansea
b) Swansea must beat Stoke if they lose to Southampton
c) if Swansea v Saints is a draw, they must both win their last games.

If Huddersfield get just one more point, then the only way they won’t be safe is scenario c).

I imagine Huddersfield will be praying for a draw on Tuesday or failing that, a Swansea win. It’s great taking a reasonably detached view of the proceedings now, isn’t it?

So as I said before, then, Huddersfield AREN'T safe yet!!

Did any of the City players suffer career threatening injuries today?

De Bruyne's bruised ego will probably have recovered in time for next season.

A loss for either Southampton or Swansea will probably result in relegation in tonight’s game. Who are you gunning for? I’d like to see Southampton lose tonight.

Southampton will be the strongest next year. Already the best squad out of the remaining relegation candidates and they have all that Van Dijk money to spend.

So I want Saints to drop

Without doubt and the Udders and Swans staying up, Baggies will fill the 3rd spot.

If they draw tonight and both win on Sunday they will have 37 points each. This will leave Huddersfield having to get at least 2 points for their remaining 2 games to stay up.

Is that right? If Southampton win tonight and Huddersfield lose their game, they will only be 3pts above Swansea with a worse goal difference... (Southampton will be ahead of them). Swansea have Stoke last day, Huddersfield have Arsenal... not at all that unlikely they could finish in the bottom 3.

I would think it is far more likely that Huddersfield beats useless Arse then Southampton beating Citeh.
And I actually would not begrudge Hfield staying up even if they have kicked us about a bit. So did Watford and Bournemouth amongst others, alsays chances to make up for that in the season(s) to come.

If Swansea win tonight and Huddersfield lose at Chelsea tomorrow both teams would be on 36 pts but Huddersfield would have an inferior goal difference.
The GD at present is Swansea -26 and Huddersfield -29.
On Saturday Huddersfield v Arsenal and Swansea v Stoke.
