Taking an agent's word for something pretty well defines 'lazy journalism'! Also what makes you think Everton will be challenging for Europe. They had a -14 Goal difference last year (worse than us) and two of their best players in the last decade, Baines and Jageilka, are reaching the twilight years. They have also given away their leading scorer, Rooney It really doesn't. An agent is a direct source. The others are the player himself, who would be taking quite some risk in speaking to journalists about career moves, and a club that doesn't ACTUALLY know a player's intentions. The flip side is that all newspaper talk is extremely speculative for the same reasons.

I suspect he just found out that our transfer window ambitions consist of two loan players. I wouldn’t be surprised to see someone like Ross Barkley turning up.

And he's not "at the level",(way too inconsistant) where he would get a regular place in any top six team. It's always funny, when the rumour comes about Zaha leaving, the true colours come out. You sound like Alan Shearer. He's pretty damn consistent in as much as a 1 man team your ever likely to see.

The picture Palace fans portray is that the one selling point about staying here is that Wilf is so uniquely and unconditionally loved and he’ll never get that anywhere else (presumably because he’s not good enough to). Such amazing support that is, non fickle “best in England” support. If the opinions of his so called “number 1 fans” mirror those such as the above, why would he even want to stay? If even his greatest supporters so openly question his ability, you gotta start questioning what makes us such an attractive prospect in the first place. I’ve said many times I’d love him to retire here, but if he decides he wants to push on then we shouldn’t even contemplate standing in his way. He’s given a hell of a lot of dedication to the club and a hell of a lot of joy to the fans. He deserves to make his own choice. He’ll always be a Palace boy at heart. But his ability has superseded what we’ve been able to offer in return for a good 2 or 3 seasons are now.

Well Wild is only human and looking back on his career he will probably be more likely to want to say. 'I was a pro footballer at the highest level and won lots of silverware,' than 'I was a local hero a one club lock man and won nothing.' He is only human after all. He must also be looking at how right now we have lost more players and signed one. (But may have been given assurances on that front. False It is Everton FFS! Hardly a top club pushing for honours. Dortmund maybe, Spuds, well he may play every other week. Agents get more money when players move and by their nature are greedy little ones. He will go one day but can't see it being now.

Surely he wouldn't let a story bout his own club run if pure fabrication. I hope it is a load of rubbish though along with the Townsend rumours.
