Nobody is going to charitably hand money over for a player that could get seriously injured in the next 10 months. Didn't they do that with Pulisic? And Saliba will be loaned back to his club after he signs for Arsenal. Plus Man United loaned us Wilf back when they signed him. Is this situation any different? (I'm not saying I believe this will happen btw)

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle I think the Chelsea option could be best for everyone, we make an agreement that Wilf moves to them next summer, in exchange for Batshuayi and a bit of money on top. I suspect they'll need Michi but we could try to push the boat out and get him on loan this season if chelsea want to secure the deal that bad. City won't have a problem coughing the money up if they are lurking in the background incase Sane leaves. Whoever signs him will need to loan someone to us as we won't have a chance of replacing him before the season starts/window shuts.

Where he goes is largely academic. It will hurt us nonetheless. As a result Palace are expected to suffer greatly this season, their reliance on him has been significant in recent seasons. To compound matters, the club have yet to seriously make inroads into the transfer market. There is every reason to feel dejected and miserable. BUT let us remember: it is Palace fans that make Zaha great. Talent only goes so far. We have instilled in him his sense of greatness and footballing arrogance. He was a failure at Man Utd and Cardiff perhaps largely because he did not have the fans to carry him and boost his self-confidence to the rafters. We won't see the trickery and flamboyance we've grown used to with him, but he'll never have a set of supporters like us again. Fact. Other fans won't be as supportive of him as we are so his quality will suffer. WE - the fans - make Palace great. When he goes, which he will, it is up to us to assume the responsibility, to MAKE the next star and to support whatever team we have. There is no need to feel miserable; Zaha is not Palace, WE ARE PALACE!

There are loads of very dedicated fans in the lower divisions. I don't want to be among them. Zaha is a Palace player and will remain so until the club decides otherwise. That is if we want to remain a PL club. 60 million plus a reject does not make any sense for us.
