None taken. Unfortunately I can see it being a combination of cash and a player or two. I think it is 25% of TOTAL deal but I believe the maximum to be paid is £15 million so if it was £60 million plus 2 players we pay £15 million max

I've tried to cut through the "fog" around Wilf this window and seem to have drawn the following conclusions: 1. Early on, he does an interview with a notorious DM journo in which he says he'd like to challenge himself in the UCL - a direct answer to a direct question in which he did not state he meant now, nor that he wanted to leave CPFC. This interview was facilitated by his Wannabe Agent Not Real Brother (WANRB). 2. The same WANRB then tells SSN that Wilf wants to leave & go too AFC (whilst Wilf's at AFCON). SSN subsequently drop the 'brother' tag once it's pointed out to them. 3. AFC put in a derisory offer which is dismissed. 4. WANRB then tells anyone who will listen that Wilf wants out. 5. Wilf issues random tweet about people not telling the truth. 6. AFC look elsewhere to give themselves options & decide to spend money on Pepe as Lille are happy for them to pay a (relatively) small upfront fee with the balance over the 5 years of his contract. 7. EFC put in a better bid which is turned down. SSN make up a 2nd bid incl players but EFC shut that down with an official statement. 8. WANRB still telling anyone who will listen that Wilf wants out. 9. EFC sign Moise Kean. 10. EFC bid for Decoure as their priority now is a replacement for Gueye. 11. Dust settles, Wilf returns to training & the media then start regurgitating the same cash + players offer they alleged EFC put out a week or two ago which was subsequently shot down by EFC themselves. 12. Social media meltdown v6.7 ensues.
Good summary and I hope you are right. I do agree with other posters on here Wilf could have put a stop to all this but has chosen not to and his use of cryptic social media posts is, quite frankly, getting tiresome

Word up here is it's very much on. what you dont know up there is that he is VERY CLOSE to his family,in particular his dad who had a stroke recently; he also has a young son (Leo) who has just turned 3 and he sees him 3 times a week; he has all the trappings down here (owns the former chairmans old house has the cars and 130k a week in wages ) so imo i would think its highly unlikely that he will go north of Watford and ive been saying that since the start of the window... unfortunately for you and any other team who wants to bid he has "people" who will tell anyone who will listen (Sky Kav and so many journos that i cant list them) that he wants a move so everyone can get a % of the loyalty bonus he is due (5m) by not submitting a transfer request!!! the last i heard it was 65m plus a player that publicly stated he was GLAD he didnt join us when he joined you (Tosun) and another we are int in (Mccarthy) despite us saying we want CASH 80m and werent int in PX; hence the separate bid by us for McCarty...

Rapidly losing my love for Wilf. why?? should it not just be simple neillo and that as long as hes a palace player who cares? he really could put a brighton shirt on for all i care. if hes a palace player then i really dont see why its a big deal like people are making it out to be. it could be many things. 1. he enjoys being in the spotlight however good or bad people see it. 2. people are just seeing things that may not be there 3. he does actually want to go 4. even if he does want to go he's sensible enough to not change the way he plays and not play as good. by not playing as well that makes teams think twice about if they want him at the higher price. this price at the moment he knows he is worth but has to be sensible and wait for someone to pay that amount. the main thing about all of this is until otherwise he is our player. we will be very very silly to sell him now when there is less than 3 days until kickoff of the prem and close of the window. this is why i still say it would be better for both palace and zaha that we accept only an offer to buy for 80m if he stays with us until either end of season or until jan. i dont see why we cant come to some sort of agreement with chelsea. they buy him for 80m, bats joins on loan until jan or end of season. zaha stays with us until chelsea have the ban lifted.this way he goes and we can look to getting someone in by either jan or end of season.
