I don't think Wilf will go now, although who knows? As to how that will affect him/his performances... I have no idea. Despite his on-field petulance when consistently fouled etc, he has nevertheless been the consummate professional.

This window can still be both utterly abysmal or really great with only 2 hours to go... keep Wilf and get some other deals over the line and things could be rosy. Lose Wilf and don't sign anyone else... SHOCKINGLY bad.

Not a happy scenario and mostly SP's blame.

Parish is to blame for doing all he can to hang onto our best ever player? All he's done is knock back bid after bid for Wilf.

Wilf put the transfer request in, not Parish.

I dont see why SP is to blame for this.
Wilf should have put a transfer request in some 2 weeks ago when Arsenal came calling rather than day before the window shuts when everyone is now scrambling.
Whilst I do think he will have an affect on the dressing room and its spirit Parish is right to hang out for 80 million in light of the Maguire deal.
If he sold him for less than what was the asking price everybody would be clamouring on his back saying he was undersold.

This has been reported in the media but they are not always correct.

If he plays against Everton on Saturday he will get a great reception. Rooney done the same when at Utd, Suarez at Liverpool, all is forgotten pretty quickly.

He will also put in maximum effort, he won't be the type to down tools. If he's going to get his move next summer, he will need to perform.

Seems to me Everton have achieved what they are seeking all along - unsettle Wilf such that he is in no condition to play in the opening fixture. Hopefully once the window closes he'd pull his socks up and perform professionally, otherwise we're in for a long season.

I will ask again, has Wilf OFFICIALLY submitted a TR?

Hearing Wilf stays and no more business to be done. So we keep Wilf, but we fail to find a right back.

'Our business is done' according to SSN. Actually still quite disappointing, considering we haven't got a new RB

Yes, but that could be torn up if he signs a new deal. TR’s can be rejected.
