This post has been merged from a topic called 'Rotational fouling of Zaha' by bexleydave After Deeney's comments I thought the FA might step in and do something about it.. a player admitting that him and his bunch of thugs from Watford were targeting one player in particular, our Wilf, by taking it in turns to constantly foul him to stop him playing.. of course the FA did the usual.. sweet FA..

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Rotational fouling of Zaha' by bexleydave A lot of pundits have been suggesting it, but I agree that a sin bin might be the way forward given how much of a problem it has become. For a team like us that rely on quick counters it is a real problem. If a player was sin-binned for say 10 minutes if they committed a professional foul this might stop teams like Man City, Saints and Spurs deploying this tactic and it would also help the flow of the game and allow for more exciting football. Mind you, Luka and McArthur would probably be in the 'bin' quite often!

Mind you, Luka and McArthur would probably be in the 'bin' quite often! I’ve long thought a sin bin should be introduced but for minor offences - kicking the ball away or dissent for example. Crowds pay a lot to watch games so should be entitled to see 11 v 11 as much as possible.

"my manager/team would NEVER do this" was his reply,arguing that because Wilf is skillful he will get tackled a lot!!! my reply was why dont you be like Watford and admit to doing it instead of living in denial!!!

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Rotational fouling of Zaha' by bexleydave i think this professional fouling mentioned in an earlier thread is how the top teams like liverpool and city get special treatment and hence results. when we break away against these teams they foul us and kick the ball away delaying the free kick so they can get in position to defend. Then our players badger the ref and this distracts him from producing a card etc its so obvious, but refs rarely even give a yellow unless its towards the end of the game and the opposition are say 2 nil up. IT REALLY IS CLEVER GAMESMANSHIP. I HATE IT COYP

This post has been merged from a topic called 'How much net cash for replacement if Wilf sold' by Midlands Eagle Assume we get 60M, sell on clause to Man Utd possibly gives then 10/11 M. Balance of say 50M, based on AWB sale a substantial portion of that will go back to shareholders say 30M. So we might be looking at having 20M to spend on a replacement albeit at lower salary. Doesn't look very encouraging if any of the above has any truth ( and it is all guesswork ) *based on Wilf's numbers this season 60M seems somewhat optimistic. The argument will always be " how well would he do in a team where he isn't double or triple marked "
Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

Our tactics this season are inhibiting Wilf badly. The problem is it makes it appears he has lost his ZING. this will undoubtedly down value him.

The argument will always be " how well would he do in a team where he isn't double or triple marked " He does have 2 players marking him a lot of the time, but the other side of it is that in a team with better players , he wouldn’t see nearly as much of the ball.
