Now, according to Sky's 'spies' Borussia are after him too

[Link]

but, whoever is after him, I think he's happy here, he's settled in his private life and close to his family. He's also tried grazing on that greener grass on the other side of the fence, and found it wasn't so lush after all.......

Smacks of lazy journalism, in today's market Palace would/should demand minimum £70M for Zaha this would rule out all the reported and alleged suitors - Spurs, Dortmund and Everton - the latter is laughable why would he go to Everton?

Why is it lazy journalism when it's quite likely that the journalist was fed the story by Zaha's agent?

Why would he go to Everton you ask? Perhaps because they are a substantially larger club than us and will be challenging for Europe next season rather than struggling against relegation yet again.

Perhaps if he were to go to Everton we could ask for Lookman in part exchange

Spurs and Dortmund you could argue offer Champions League but neither have the finances to pay £70M plus £125K in wages especially with Spurs having to pay for their new ground. You just need to look they are bulking at paying £30M for Grealish.

As I have said before only realistic destination for Zaha could be Chelsea if Hazard goes to Real Madrid. Even then they are in a mess at the moment - Abramovich can't get in the Country and the Manager position is in chaos. So who knows what finances they will have available.

Zaha said at the end of the season he was happy at Palace and saw no reason to move - in addition he's only a year into a 5 year deal @£120K a week.

As I said lazy journalism and I fully expect to see Zaha with us for at least another season yet.

"I fully expect expect to see Zaha with us for another season yet "??

The lad has ambition and wants to be tested at the highest level than yet another relegation battle.

Don't count your chickens before they are hatched!!

I agree. Wilf even if he has turned down an extension (and that is not proven) is still our player and any suitors will have to pay the price We want. Also would Wilf want to go and not be guaranteed first team football

The only way it could happen if we get an offer we can't turn down. Chelsea could do that both in money and Players in exchange ie RLC, Kennedy, Abraham, Zouma, Van Ginkel etc just look at players they loaned out last season. Abramovitch seems to have lost his love of Chelsea/UK so I wonder if they will start to unload some of their reserve players. I think we know we need to increase our strength in depth so if we were made an offer of RLC plus 3 of those we would take it.

Yep - totally agree as much as I would hate to see Wilf go - RLC plus 3 of those you mention would be a very positive deal for Palace.

Add Nani into the equation who is reportedly available for £5M as a direct replacement for Wilf would be very good indeed..!!

I wouldn’t worry just yet yes he will eventually leave but this will probably play out like Mahrez who was going then wasn’t and that saga has spanned over two seasons (so far) including him handing in a transfer request then mahrez Lost quite a bit of interest ,the only time to panic is if wilf slaps a transfer request in and let’s hope that doesnt happen

Taking an agent's word for something pretty well defines 'lazy journalism'!

Also what makes you think Everton will be challenging for Europe. They had a -14 Goal difference last year (worse than us) and two of their best players in the last decade, Baines and Jageilka, are reaching the twilight years. They have also given away their leading scorer, Rooney

Assuming it's true,Wilf is an ungrateful greedy little so an so.And should be flogged to Spurs for loads of money, and where he will spend the rest of his career sitting on the bench.
We all know he is a tremendously skillful player, but it only works at Palace where he gets the freedom to play to his strengths, without fear of being dropped.

dear oh dear what a spectacularly idiotic response. Pull your head out of the sand. Knowing what we know about Wilf I doubt it's about money, more likely either the rest of the contract isn't right or he is wanting to realise his full potential and lets face it we're just not at that level an never will be. It would be more criminal to deny him the heights he's capable of reaching with a club that competes in Europe. It didn't work out at Utd, largely due to a managerial change, that doesn't mean it only works at Palace.

And he's not "at the level",(way too inconsistant) where he would get a regular place in any top six team.
How do we know Wilf's attitude towards money?
I would suggest £125,000 per week is plenty, but he might be happy to be a back up player in order to boost his already bulging bank account.

Such a precocious talent and I would not blame him for wanting to complete at the highest level and play a prominent part in winning cups and titles in a successful team, something he will never achieve if he stays with us,fighting against relegation year on year.He has been fantastic for us,very loyal, his career is very short and I wish him success wherever his future lies.
