I would have preferred to be rid of Wilf now as I can only see him being a disruptive influence on the squad. Let us all hope he shows true professionalism and pulls through this and knuckles down. Facts are SP did rescue his career and he has and is being rewarded accordingly. We also have to remember our owners are in this as a business and not a charity.

Because in light of the circumstances I can't think of a better game to win the fans back over. If he plays vs the team that tried to buy him and he plays well...then I would say we would all move on from this saga and get back to being positive. The transfer window has been somewhat of a let down after failing to replace AWB but I keep reminding myself that it is Palace that kept hold of an £80m winger who is still better than all the other wingers signed in this window...we still have the better player. Just remains to be seen if Wilf is going to be effective for Palace.

We played them first game and GT had a very poor game. Now his scowling face is going to be even more scowling. Some fans will give him abuse, especially if we're struggling and so on. Whole thing's yet another disaster.

You can see a situation of him being here another 18 or 24 months as his contract gets closer to expiry. The more I think about it I think we should move him out next season for our own good as much as he thinks it’s for his own good. He’s now being paid £160k and if we don’t sell him next summer we could be in tricky situations with possible injuries etc. Clubs may also sense we need him off the wage bill. Zaha at Palace will get messier and more problematic if he’s still at Palace beyond next summer. We should sell asap next summer and have the benefit of never dealing with his team again, unless he comes back begging for another chance on a 50% or more wage cut, which will never happen so hopefully we can wave goodbye to each other in May without any of this unsavoury sh1t going on he’s been aware of, drummed up by his embarrassing teenage employees.

We now know that Wilf want to move on! yes we are far too reliant on him and being a one trick show pony club. We have from now until the January window to find a replacement for him but i just dont have any faith in SP and DF doing that. They had all summer to find a right back and failed . We need to sort out the mess or we will have quite a few disgruntled players and manager. IMO

Target to Villa for 15m wow he's pants and that's more than maybe we could even afford to replace AWB lol We are facing up to the fact that a decent championship full back is now worth more than 10m. An established prem right back is now out of price range. Europe is where we will find value, but that comes with more risk. It's all well and good people like Matteo listing 30 fullbacks and claiming to know their value...but we have seen world stars arrive in the prem and fail. Nothing is guaranteed.
