i dont see why people think he doesnt try or care anymore...he has looked very good this season.

do people just look at the assists & goals stats and come to their views.

He hasn’t looked good at all this season , for the ability that we have seen from him in the past, to not stand out as an attacking player in a team with such little going forward is bad.
He is decent at winning penalties, but he hasn’t done much more than that this season.
He said all of the right things in his interview last week, but his performances aren’t matching up to what he was saying.
No one wants him to play badly, but he has , I’d sell him if a decent bid comes in.
The stats are important as well as the performances, if he continues as he is he will not score a goal this season.
Can’t think of a single game this year where an opposition attacker hasn’t played better than Zaha , that tells me that he is no where near a top 4 player.

For me it looks like the way we are playing at the moment dies not allow him to get on the ball enough. Didn't touch the ball till 20 minutes then looked like he tried too hard. Must change the way we play to get more out of him, however get the Scousers out of the way and we have a run of non top 6 sides. That should help🙏

My recall was that he was dispossessed easily and strongly by Reece James early in the game who got the upper hand in the psychological battle straight away. After that he was shut down by three players every time he got the ball which was usually in his own half.

Football fans are fickle but judging by the abuse he took from the Chelsea fans yesterday he would not be a popular signing and they think they have better already.

Wilf got booked early in the game and that seemed to upset him.

He has been a way short of his best this season.

It's time we stopped being so reliant on one player.

Much as I will miss him, the time looks increasingly right for him to move on.

If we were to use an intelligent midfield system he would get the ball more. At present our control and passing is shocking and he has little chance to shine. With a better team he would realise his true potential.

The midfield is our weakest link and until this is sorted
Ayew, Townsend and Zaha will remain up against it.

If we were to employ at least two of Meyer, Camarasa and McCarthy he will come again. It won't happen so expect more of the same.

Also remember, if we sold him for £30m we would have to give Man. United £7.5m of it. Probably why Parish held out for £70m.

it looks to me that he been asked to play a different role this season, to be used more as an outlet to hold up the ball whilst others come into play.

you notice that when he plays the ball infield to one of our players we seem to be trying to move the ball to the other side of the pitch, or to the CMF’s to move the ball forward. and once he passed it inside its not coming back as much as it used to.

i genuinely want to be wrong here but i believe the 1st full season after wilf leaves we will see the end of our premiership adventure.

£50m after utds cut aint worth that, as we sure as hell cant replace a talent like wilf.

Id have to disagre with you on this. 12 games into the season and he has no goals and 1 assist and hasn't contributed much in most games. On his current form i don't even think we would miss him. Don't get me wrong I still think he is one of our best ever players but he has been found out by every team in the division.

Our style of play definitely doesn't help him but he is not even standing out among our team. he has flashes of brilliance but his overall game is poor.

you may want to rethink those 2 points matey.

do you understand the space he makes for others when he is double marked? even when he is apparently not offering anything in matches.

Really!!
Don’t forget the time wasted from the blind alleys he runs down
Also the amount that he puts off the defenders from the other team with all the moaning for free kicks he does!! Invaluable

He has taken two to three players with him down the blind alley! ..the only way to stop Zaha is to foul him whether by leaning into or tugging, you understand the professional foul, every single player against him tries it ..the higher up the table you go the better at it they are.

An 19 year old had him in his pocket Saturday. Apparently he used to move to the opposite wing to wan Bissaka at training to avoid him.
Maddison has 5 goals in the last 7 games (22 year old).
He’s been decent for us I admit, but not a world beater.
