Only deals like Chelsea who have such people, either they are just surplus or not able to get in the 1st team squad. I would be looking at Zaha going there (sad) for 5 players. Anything to cope with unjuries and keep us in the top flight. Zaha is worth 120 millions IMO, nobody else has anyone like him.

If you’re definition of being “pro-active” is replacing high quality with speculative quantity then I need to studiously avoid the dictionary you use. The amounts being played for average players is inflating/distorting market-prices to such an extent, we'll never realistically be able to replace Wilf, unless we get around £200M However, you can't blame the player (or his agent) for wanting to maximise his earning potential and the chance of some trophies. I want to eat a roast chicken dinner in the evening. The following morning Levy is already cable-tied to a stretcher, with his mouth held open with dental vices.
