Yes, I like the term, 'virtue signal', it does sum up rather a lot of pathetic beta behaviour from a lot of people.

Perhaps I overuse it....but it's a lot of fun.

She was also on channel 4 news last night. She was forced to apologise and did after being pushed into it.

Well 'better' is subjective, obviously, so your straw man argument doesn't hold much weight.

Either way, I'm not sure the quality of life in Croydon is quite the point of the thread, although it's a convenient distraction from discussing the actual issue.

You do understand that I was responding to a specific post?

When a post suggests that the whole of Croydon would be some kind of wasteland without immigrants, first I laugh and then I realise that the person posting such drivel is probably Black and born this century. I could be wrong about that. Maybe they are just brainwashed and deluded.

If this is your interpretation of the post, I think that says more about you than the contents of the post itself.

I wasn't alive in the 50s, 60s or 70s so I wouldn't like to speculate.

Either way, I'm not quite sure why it's relevant - whatever your views on immigration, I think everyone should be able to accept that the handling of a lot of these cases has been nothing short of shambolic.

I'm not surprised.
It's a tragedy that people were forced to leave their wonderful, prosperous, highly developed employment Meccas and come to such a backward tyranny like Britain.

At outrageously inflated prices, the proceeds of which often goes back home to facilitate the arrival of even more family members.

I'll ignore the age jibe because, rather ironically, it's very childish.

Has anyone made the point I've bolded, or is that yet another straw man? I thought so.

Well 'less diverse choice of food' is the alternative where there was no (or less) immigration, so your post doesn't make any sense.. mind you, most of them don't.
