He went to Stoke (Signed by Mark Hughes) before the start of the 2014/15 season.The season before that they finished in the top half (9th). The previous 2 seasons they finished 13th and 14th so perhaps some of the reasons were that he saw Stoke as a club with passionate supporters and a club on the rise.He also was probably not a regular at Inter Milan so saw the move to Stoke as an opportunity to play regularly and in the PL.
