So Sterling diving into, almost on his knees already, a defender to win a penalty is ok?
Not one mention of a dive on the commentary, but it was blatant.

Gary Neville started to say something about it but I reckon he thought I get enough crap off this lot already so i'll bite my tongue.

Not that I minded City racking up the goals against someone around us in the table.

I disagree with this. This penalty was very similar to the one Wilf got against Brunt at Selhurst a couple of years back. No player should have to wear the sort of challenge that was coming Sterling's way and he had two options. One, hurdle the challenge, stay on his feet and be given nothing or two fold just before contact to avoid injury. He made the right call IMO.
Against Brunt Wilf did exactly the same to avoid injury, because players know if you don't hit the floor, you get squat.
On Saturday Wilf withdrew his leg at the last second, so there was contact but it wasn't on a foot that was planted, cos if Marriappa had slid through a planted foot it would have caused some damage. It was a clear penalty, but the people claim that the refs view was blocked by a Watford player. Therefore I have to ask, if he couldn't see it to give it, how did he see it to book him? Was it a guess?

It didn't apply to Steven Gerrard, if you can recall that incident.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but the replays I saw appeared to show Hughes getting in a thigh-high foul just before Mariappa's.

That is about the only time it's ever happened and that was cos of the player involved. It would have never been given the other way round.

From recent memory it seems white English players get it much less than non white players (may be wrong but sterling, young, zaha all get or have got so much s*** for diving).

The coming together of Wilf Palace and us fans is more than fate. It is magical.
We will stay up we will get the new stand and Wilf is wise enough to know at his young age that his future is doing something with a passion with people who genuinely love him brings him so much happiness as well as all the people.
The atmosphere in Selhurst after the Brighton match was very very special. I was privileged to be there and really felt a true camaraderie with everyone there.
For Wilf as our super star, it must have been fantastic. Who in their right mind would want to leave such a strong bond?
I hail the guy. He is immense. At Selhurst he will become bigger than any move would ever bring. He knows this. We all have a fantastic future as Palace continues to grow into something to be so proud to be part of.
