Tbf to the fans they have won 2-3 games at home all season and I believe went a whole calendar year without winning (at home). If the record was like that at Selhurst, I reckon our ground would empty out if we let two goals down.

Used to get into The Builders for a half when a player. Nice bloke. But that Cardiff comment was indeed inexcusable.

Can see him getting another Championship / Low premier league job

Is he not sticking it out at Sunderland?

They've got to have the biggest stadium League 1 has ever seen.

I doubt it but if they get taken over who knows.

Sunderland need to take a leaf out of Man City's book when they were down there. Tickets were cheap as chips. Given thatthey still have parachute payments there is really no reason why they can't do it

I don't rate him much, good managers can make the best of a bad situation

As with most managers it depends on the club, he started at Fulham who were well run, had a very good budget under Al Fayed and seemingly a club on the up, he just had to manager the team or steer the ship if you like, it's a different ball game to a club on a downward spiral and struggling, that's when your managerial ability is really tested and he doesn't to be able to turn the tide there.

He'd done nothing with Wales without Bale - fact

That's why I think Warnock is a very good manager, working wonders at Cardiff and before that turned Rotherham from relegation certainties to safety, he's done it consistently at nearly every club he's managed

While highly likely you are right, it's not a fact.

We were defensively very good under Coleman. Largely with players that board have consistantly said that they wouldn't want anywhere near the club.

Like I said before he is an OK manager, a reasonable record but you couldn't really see any fans get excited if he was appointed as their club manager

Not likely to get taken over, the owner said he'd give the club away this season and he had no takers. He'd need to pay someone to take it.

They might have parachute payments but I believe they have been losing an absolute fortune since being relegated. Man City had about 80% capacity in the year they were in the third tier, I can't see Sunderland getting 40,000 even with cheap tickets.

I didn't know that, I thought that they had someone lined up and the give away comment was a figure of speech.

Whatever happens it just proves once again the going down to regroup and get back up is a stupid mantra

Coleman would've taken us down quicker than the titanic.

Sunderland are a proper basket case and I don't think you have level to much blame at Coleman's door for this relegation. The question worth asking is why did Coleman take the job in the first place? Did he think he could be some sort of hero if he saved them? One thing is I'm damn glad that he isn't our manager.
