Good point. I would take him.

On a years long deal I would take Crouch over Benteke too.

He was a great hope, but time has proven he's not good enough for this level. Just 7 goals and 4 assists in 4600 minutes for Southampton in the PL.

I'd still like him at Palace. Would be great backup to Wilf and Townsend. If Charlie Austin could stay fit I'd take him too, plus Tadic of course. However, the first two I think would stay at Saints if they went down and Tadic would probably get an offer from a bigger club. Bertrand has always looked like a good player, but with PvA, Souare and Schlupp I don't think we need another LB.

Thank God we didn't get Pellegrino and that we have a Chairman who was brave enough to hold his hands up and correct things quickly. Saints should never have been in this position and now psychologically they just look a mess.

Don't know if it is the managers or his attitude but a Saints fan I know has been seriously underwhelmed by him.

the dignified don't even enter in the game

Similar comment from my Birmingham supporting friend who said that he blew hot and cold when with them.

Norwich only brought him on from the bench towards the end of their season in the top flight as well..

I think they can do a better job in another environment, I wouldn't really hold them resposible for their teams' downfall.

Stoke: Butland, Martins Indi, Badou Ndiaye, Joe Allen, Mame Diouf, Choupo Moting, Shaqiri

Moritz Bauer has been pretty decent for them in the last few games. Only joined them in January, so may not be cheap - or willing to move on - but would be good elsewhere.

And it would mean we could sing "get Moritz out for the lads' again . . .

I still think Burke is a huge talent and could be a star, would benefit from playing with Wilf and Andros. Otherwise Shaqiri would be an absolute no brainier but would have presumably have better offers.

Tadic looks like a classy player and a good finisher for the Saints.

Jake Livermore from WBA would be a good squad addition and would help add some much needed depth. Couldn’t see Him costing the earth either.

Might have just changed my mind after his display in the Everton game tonight! Really was on fire and not just because of the goal. Came on, had a lot of bursts down the left flank, was able to dribble A LOT with the ball at his feet. Will watch him more carefully.

Course, now Southampton might not go down and it won't be possible to prize him away )
