Think its the away performances that have annoyed them the most - pretty defensive negative performances.

But then again when Martinez was manager the fans were complaining they couldn't defend!

Also Everton fans wanted a big name (or Marco Silva) when Big Sam was appointed - and certainly didn't want Sean Dyche!

It's the home games too if you look at the comments on the BBC report from last night's win. Yes that's right, win. Reading them you'd think they'd lost 3-0.

And Newcastle were actually quite decent BTW.

They seem to have the same chip on their shoulder that West Ham do. We don't just want to win, we want to win in a certain way. Both sets of fans are delusional.

Seems to me that managers like Big Sam have an image problem compared to fancied managers like Marco Silva, who has achieved nothing but get a lot of undeserved positive publicity. Something tells me Big Sam will be off at the end of the season.

I don't imagine Big Sam is too bothered TBH.

He seems to have found his Blueprint...

Leave a Club at the end of the season, take the entire summer off and chill. No pre-season headaches or chasing transfer targets and losing your best players to rival teams to worry about. A bit of media as and when you fancy, in between a few more holidays.

Firefighter Sam knows that with his reputation and track record he can take over a big struggling club in or near to the bottom 3 at Xmas, get paid more in 5/6 months than some PL managers do for the entire year and on top of the monthly salary negotiate a big fat bonus for saving the team from relegation.

Inherit someone else's struggling team so no blame for their current position and if you do turn it round, you're a Hero!

He'll be given a sizeable transfer kitty for the January window and then get to work.

With his current team now safe Mrs. Allardyce is no doubt spending some of that bonus and has the Holiday brochures at the ready and has ordered him some new XXL Vilebrequin swim shorts.

I imagine he's quite looking forward to having the next 7 months off before taking over at 'newly promoted' Aston Villa or Fulham next December.

He got nothing but abuse during their game at the weekend apparently, and plenty more online, yet they won 2-0 thanks to both the players he signed.

I really hope Everton get their comeuppance in a Charlton/Curbishley way next season.

I think he will be bothered. He always wanted to test himself at the highest level, England didn't work out, everton are the biggest club he'll likely ever manage and it looks like it'll run away from him.

I think that's the only reason why he came back after us, if it was a smaller club with limited funds he'd have refused.

The guys made his millions years before now, that wasn't the big pull im certain

Speaking to Everton fans I know, yes the stye of football grates a bit but it has been his pressers that have sent them over the edge.

to paraphrase:

All about him, how tough it is y de ya de ya. They know they have a decent squad but Sam has talked down the squad and spoken as if he has performed miracles.

Big Sam is most certainly interested in the money, otherwise why when appointed England manager was he negotiating a dodgy £400,000 deal to represent a company he had never heard of, before even his first England game?! Perhaps the £3 Million Salary wasn’t enough?

[Link]

That greed contributed to him leaving his England’s post after only one game in charge. So much for wanting to work at the highest Level and it shows exactly where his priorities were.

Perhaps some people really do believe his reason for quitting Palace was actually to ‘spend more time with his family’.

When Koeman left Everton they were in the relegation zone.
Under Unsworth they got 7 pts from 5 games and when he handed the reins over to Allardyce they were in the bottom half of the table in 13th place.Under Allardyce they now sit in 8th place.

In defence of Sam Allardyce the above (or at least the first paragraph) has all subsequently been proven to have been a severe stretching of the truth by the Telegraph who carried out the sting.

Sam went on record to acknowledge he had mad a ‘significant error of judgement’ and apologised for his actions.
Allardyce and the FA mutually agreed to terminate his contract with immediate effect and the The FA even stated that had he not have accepted this he would have been sacked.
Ultimately he lasted one game in charge of his so called ‘dream job’ because of his greed and serious mis-judgement.

Allardyce is no stranger to past controversies and most have involved money. Numerous web links are available but the thread would be pages long and it is just easier to do a search.

I just wouldn’t be at all surprised to see Sam leave Everton at the end of the season.....And then in December he’ll have had enough of spending more time with his family (again) and will be the new Manager at somewhere like Villa or Fulham, helping Shaid Khan secure his teams Premiership survival and being handsomely paid for it in the process.
